Surgeon Testimonial

Neil E. Hutcher M.D.
I first met Dr. Hutcher at a local WLS seminar. I was struck by his dedication to his patients, his record of preforming many surgeries and his sense of humor. He is a real patient advocate for fair treament by insurance companies, but I of course was impressed with the 3500+ weight loss surgeries he has preformed and the fact that he is very up to date in his procedures.

Also, he requires smokers to quit and explained that smokers have a much higher risk of certain complications. What an incentive.

I am still very impressed after my initial consultation.

The have an extensive pre and post-op program which I will be involved in once I get my surgery date.

I reached a milestone
posted on 2/12/07 8:58 pm
I now weigh less than I did on my wedding day.  But alas I was a chubby bride of 180 pounds  and 29 years old.  I got engaged 9/29/1987.  One month later I was assaulted and gained 30 pounds before my April 1988 wedding.  I didn't let the weight gain bother me.  People had seen me heavier before.  Sadly, I continued to gain and I am under 180 for the first time since.

I was tweezing my brows the other day and didn't recognize myself in the mirror.  I was like who is that old lady?!  The last time I didn't have a double chin and I could see my strong jaw line I was 29.  There were no lines around my mouth or slight waddle in my neck.  Actually, I look darn good for 48.  I couldn't be more pleased.  When my husband and I  feel in love as teens we talked of growing old and gray together and God is allowing us that dream.  We should have dreamed to grow old and rich together.  :)
