My Story

Hi, My name is Lori and im 31 from Iowa.  I have struggled with being overweight as long as I have been alive and remember!  I have thought about WLS for years and have been to 2 consults in my life.  Over the past several years I have just hit an all time weight "high" and my life has fallen apart.  I have spinal stenosis and had 3 back surgeries in 2007.  I also have fibromyalgia.  I am in pain everyday and this had made me very depressed and of course I turned to food and staying in bed.  I have pretty much decided that I want to have the lapband.  On Sept. 25th I will be going to the community lecture which is the first step in getting into the program at Mercy in DesMoines, Iowa.  So far I have spoke to several different people at the clinic and they are so nice that this makes me feel very comfortable in choosing to go with them!  I am married to a wonderful man who waits on me hand and foot and has picked up all the slack of my weight gain/depression for the past few years.  I really want to give him his wife back!  I have severe anxiety and will only go in public when I am forced to for work!  I started selling scentsy a year ago to try to overcome my anxiety and it has helped some but the majority of my business is just my customers/friends and online.  My goal is to get my life back, give my husband back his wife, get healthy, and be an awesome scentsy consultant!!  I am hoping to make a lot of friends here and get tons of support and I will love to give support to everyone once I know what im talking about!  LOL
