Just to let everyone know I'm still around. I'm doing well. I'm almost 5 months out. I've lost 85 pounds since surgery. But more surprising is that I've lost a total of 201.4 pounds since Oct. 2005, this is with the 85 since surgery. I'm feeling better every day. I read somewhere that for every pound you lose you take four pounds of pressure off your knees. So according to my figuring that's a total of 804.4 pound off my knees. Yeah. Every little bit makes me healthier. Love you all
Hi everyone,
I'm 6wks post-op and down 46 pounds never to be see again. I now weigh 369.2. I've come so far from my starting weight. My BMI is down to 50 something. I'm so glad I had this surgery. I can hardly believe it's me in the mirror. I know it's me, but my mind says different. I'd redo my surgery if needed; It's the BEST thing I've done for myself in such a long time. The one big problem I'm having is taking my Lexapro. Everytime I take it , it makes me have the foamies and dry heaves. I've told all my Dr.'s and so far no one has changed it for me. So I'm going to contact the nurse at my therapist and hopefully she'll change it. I won't see my surgeon until April for my three month check up. Love you all for the support.
Hi friends,
As most of you know by now I'm approved and have my date. I found out on the 19th of Dec. that I was tentatively schudled for WLS on Jan.2, 2008. I was shocked when I was told this by Eileen. She asked me "if I knew it and I told her I did now" with a very shocked look on my face. Then I got my approval letter from the insurance in the mail on Dec. 26, 2007, and then on the 27th I got my actual date of JANUARY 16, 2008. I've started my pre-op diet and I'll be getting my labwork done possibly on the 9th of Janyary or sometime that week. I'm hoping to see as many as I can on the 5th at the clothing exchange. I've also lost 3 more pounds since November bringing my total to 95# I think since Dec. 26, 2006. So I just go day to day floating on air for my surgery.
Thanks to all who've supported and encouraged me this past year. You all kept me on track even when I gained some weight. I'm so blessed to have so much "NEW FAMILY" here to help with all the bad, sad and good times. I can't thank you all enough. I love each of you very much. Bless you all. Love & Hugs.
Hi everyone,

Since September I've lost 13 more pounds, had my nut. consult and seen Eileen on the same day, talked with Dr. Lindsey, and have had a heart stress test. Everything is fine there no problems. YEAH! My papers got sent in Nov. 29th. So I'm just waiting on insurance now. Everyone knows how this goes. LOL.
Today is my 42 B'day. I'm having radio ferquencay surgery on the 20th. This is where the dr goes in and burns the small nerves in my spine going to my legs with radio frequencay.I have a beautiful grandson , named Andy, he was born on Nov. 13th. He is doing just fine. I don't get to see him much, but I call about him every week. Wishing you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR. Love & hugs.
