Putting this here until I can figure out why it's not on...

This is almost where I started.  I have worse pics than this. But this is the night before I had my surgery.

One Month of Not-a-Stall
on October 11, 2012 7:16 am
I can't call it a stall.  It was really me not staying on plan.  My weight fluctuated up two or three pounds, then back down, then back up.  I wasn't bingeing or anything, but I definitely wasn't sticking to my calorie goals.

Finally, back on track.  I lost 1/2 pound this morning--first weight loss since 9/14/12.

Yay!  I have two weeks until my six month post op and my goal is to be below 165. That's only 1.5 pounds away so I feel confident that I can do it.

At 165 I will have lost 70 pounds.

I've been dilly-dallying around and it's time to get serious again!

Fitbit Healed
on September 8, 2012 6:26 pm
I stopped using my Fitbit because it wasn't synching.  First it wasn't synching via wifi (which it's supposed to do) and I was having to hook it up every time to find out how I was doing.  Then it wouldn't even sync then.

Bah.  Humbug.  I decided to return it and get my money back.  Since I bought it from Amazon that would have been easy to do.  Except it got buried under a bunch of stuff when our house was undergoing construction work.

So a couple of days ago I uncovered it and thought I'd give it another chance. And hey, it works!  Sometimes by wifi.  Sometimes only if I hook it up via USB.  But so far it's working, and just because it's working and I could see how many steps I'd taken today, I decided to walk the dog tonight and build up more steps.

Still haven't hit 10,000, yet, but I got almost 7,000 and that's just doing stuff around the house and going to the supermarket, and finally, walking the dog.

I am so glad the heat broke and I could get out and walk the dog without suffering heatstroke!

Forgot to say--now MFP is telling me that I've "earned" 232 extra calories today.

NO THAT IS NOT THE POINT.

Sheeesh!

I'm reading to drop into the 160s. And I'm very very close.  So I'm going to kick this thing into gear and get back on track with exericise.  Now, to find my Wii Fit...

Two months out (or nine weeks, depends on how...
on June 29, 2012 12:30 pm
My surgery was 4/27 and today is 4/29.  That's two months, two days.

Or, calendar-wise, nine weeks ago today.

I was in Hawaii last week, and when I got home Monday afternoon (the 25th) I weighed the same as I weighed when I left.  Can't argue with that, considering I was only half-on-plan.  I kept cottage cheese and greek yogurt (fage 2%) in the fridge, and had cheese sticks and protein bars in my backpack for emergencies, but also ordered at restaurants and ate some things that weren't on plan--in small portions.

But since I've been back, I've lost 3 1/2 pounds.  That's in four days!

I have no explanation for that, but I'm very happy about it.

What I'm not as happy about--several photos from the trip that show my belly is still fat, even though I have lost a lot of weight.  Not a surprise, just a rude reminder!

But I feel great.  Fabulous!  Life is wonderful.

However...

I am still fat.

I have lost 30 pounds, put on a dress that I might wear to a luau in Hawaii and felt really great.  But I took  a pic of myself to send a friend and you know how seeing a picture is always a rude awakening?

Well, this camera was REALLY RUDE.

What can I say?  It won't last long.  (The fat, not the camera!)
