Surgeon Testimonial

William Chapman M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Chapman was that he was very informative, kind and answered all of our questions.
His staff is always so helpful when I call, millions of times with millions of questions.

Hello Everyone!
I am sorry that it 's been a long time since I have updated. I have been going through so much. Not really any major complications with the surgery, just emotional complications. No one warned me about that. I have been on an " emotional roller coaster."  It is so hard for me not to do anything, I guess I should be happy that my family is helping me and not allowing me to do anything, but when you are the one that is used to doing everything, it's hard to just sit back. At my two weeks check up, I had lost 35 lbs. I ended in the hospital because I became dehydrated a few days before my one month check up, when I went in I had not lost any weight so I was a little upset. My doctor assured me that it was because of all of the fluids that they had to put in me. I am at 354lbs. My next appointment is March 27th, my doctor wants at around 320 lbs by then, my personal goal is 300 lbs. I am having so much trouble drinking, I think it is because I have to sip. I love ice water, so it is hard for me not to gulp. Well, how long do I have to wait before I can drink normally? I though that I would be worried about the eating but I'm good on that, I am more concerned about the drinking, especially water. Be Blessed!

Lauren, please keep the faith. Thank you for the well wishes, but take care of yourself. Please, follow the post diet instructions. Fluids are your best friends and you have to drink throughout the day no matter what. I struggled, but over time it got better. Don't compare your weight loss to anyone else. Everyones body and weight loss is different. I was plagued by people telling me how much weight they loss and I thought I had to beat or match their weight loss. It will drive you crazy. Please, take care of yourself. Debra

Deegab40 is right, you have to get your liquids in. Drink crystal light that's considered as water. I don't drink ice water most of the time, it be crystal light. That away I can get in all of my fluids. Hang in there it will get better. As for weight lost, I know how you feel I'am stuck. It's really giving me the blues. I started drinking liquid whey 42grams that equals up to 2 of my meals a day. Maybe I will see a difference in my weight. Take care do what you can do it will work.
