Surgeon Testimonial

Julie Leverton, M.D.
I had my consultation with Dr. Leverton in June. It was a long drive from where we live, but well worth it. Their office A/C was broken that day but we sweated it out! Shawntae, her assistant, was a riot! She made my husband and I feel right at home. Dr. Leverton was awesome. She was surprised that I knew the word 'co-morbidities'. LOL! She is so cute! She was surprised that we are coming so far to have the surgery done in Wylie, but I know I have chosen the best surgeon for the job! I can't wait for my turn to finally be on 'the other side' and be losing this weight forever! There are 3 reasons why I feel that Dr. Leverton and the BTC are the best and they are: 1) She is a woman and can identify with women in general. 2) She is very meticulous in her surgery scars and they are barely visible. 3) Having it done at the BTC is better than a hospital because you don't have to deal with sick patients who have diseases and infections, and the whole atmosphere is healthier! 4) Having it done at the BTC is better because EVERYTHING is catered to the obese patient! EVERYONE should have their surgery here! LOL!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~

Robin, I agree totally with your post. People going thru plastic surgery are just as important as people having wls. Its the icing on the cake. I want the same support when I have that as I did with my RNY. Just wanted you to know that I am on your side 100%. Hugs!

Not So Good News!
posted on 3/28/08 7:27 am

Well, I finally had the courage to have a mass removed from above my right eye beneath my eyebrow.  The patholgoists say it was malignant but can't agree on what type of malignancy it is.  Instead of choosing the harsh methods of radiation and chemotherapy, I chose alternative medicine.  I'm taking all kinds of herbal anti-cancer supplements and I'm drinking two different types of teas that have been reported to cure cancer patients.  I've changed my eating habits (the hardest part) to mostly vegetables, fruit, nuts and a small amount of protein.  The 'perks' in doing that are that I'm back down to the 150's (I had gotten back up to 175 again after my 6th anniversary) and I never have any episodes of reactive hypoglycemia.  I'm not great at exercising though and I should be!

I have an 18 year old daughter who is going to give me my first granddaughter in either late June or early July this year!  I've got the nursery ready and it's all I can think about!  Life is going to be aweome!
