Still doing well.
on February 16, 2012 4:10 am
I continue to exercise, now at Planet fitness, and take all of my supplements. I see the nutritionist quarterly and have labs done atleast once per year. I'm at 172 which takes into account lots of loose skin, as I've opted to not have surgery to remove it. The docs and nutritionists are very pleased with my status and so am I.

Christmas morning going on 3 years post surgery!
on December 25, 2010 8:27 am
Just over 2 1/2 years since surgery. Have lost between 180 and 185 lbs totally. More inportant than the number of pounds is the increase in mobility and quality of life. I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I can walk with a cane with mild pain, can go to the gym for cardio and weight sessions a minimum of 3 times per week, never picked up a cigarette since I quit May 2006, nor a drink since 2001. I continue to follow all of the instructions regarding food, supplements, vitamins, etc given by the bariatric team. Also keep my quarterly appointments at the clinic for check-ups and B12 shots. No regrets, lots of thanks!

I'm 2 months short of 2 years since surgery. I still drink my proteins, take my vitamins and see the nutritionist. I exercise in the YMCA pool 5 days per week and at PT (elliptical, recunbent bike and stepper) 3 X's weekly. I've maintained my weight (174 lbs) and feel like a different person than the one pre-surgery. I lost over 170 lbs and never regret having the surgery. I also eat as I was prescribed by the docs after surgery! All in all, very happy ....infact, feel like a very fortunate person for having choosen this route!

I feel like the luckiest person on the planet. Have been given a second lifetime! Was work, but worth it. Am 172 lbs and any extra weight is loose skin. Am not having any surgery to remove skin unless it should become a great physical problem...which I can't see happening. Am enjoying exercising in the pool at the YMCA every morning and being able to live a normal, good quality life.

All is still going very well. I feel so grateful for this second chance to have a quality life. My labs, which I had done in the past few weeks, are great. I feel wonderful!
