Maggie, thank you so for the support you sent my way for my surgery. I came thru with flying colors and am now 5 days out and feeling much better than I expected. I hope all is going well with yours, I see that you were up about a week before me. Thanks again! ~Ericka

Just thinking.....
posted on 11/10/09 5:01 pm
I have been doing some thinking over this last week or so about me, my progress, and my life in general.  Over all I am pleased with my progress, I have been working my new tool and I can't think of any regrets.  I bought my first ever size Large top on Friday.  I couldn't believe it..a LARGE.  No XL, XXL,2X, or my personal favorite 5X.....just L.  It was a great moment and yet not, for it further confirmed that my boobies have indeed fallen, and they can't get up...LOL.  I have gone from a 48DD to a VERY full 38C, without a bra I wear a 38 long...LOL.  But even with the sagging boobs, the bat wings, and we won't even talk about the insides of my upper thighs, I would do this all over again without hesitation.

I have gone from being super morbidly obese to severely obese...YAY.  And I am looking forward to shaving another 5 points off my BMI so my classification will be merely overweight.  Now I don't know many people, other than our special group that EVER looks forward to being classified as overweight, but honestly I can not wait!  And as I sit here and type this I am living proof that RNY works.  I went to see my PCP today to get the results of my heart ECHO he ordered and the news was bittersweet.  I have a heart murmur, but it is very small and at this time does not require treatment.  And that was the worse news I got!  My levels look great, my blood pressure was 104/74, my cholesterol is 130, and this one REALLY surprised me.  In 2007 I was diagnosed with NASH, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, yet today my liver functions were completely within "normal" ranges and my sugars looked great!
