Update, some sadness, and some GREAT news!

Well I have been away again for awhile and I guess it is time to get all caught up.  John and I went on our cruise in Nov and it was a BLAST!  I can't believe I went out to the pool and lounged around in a bathing suit..in PUBLIC  crazy I know but absolutely true.  We had a great time and I can't wait to go again.  I thought there might be some issues with food since it seems they try to feed you all day long, but I was careful about what I ate and I watched my portions and all was good :).  I must be doing well cause I am still loosing oh and did I mention I am in a size EIGHT?!? 

Then we had some sadness, my ex husband passed away unexpectedly and I had to help my children( who are all adults grieve), this was probably the single hardest thing I have done in my life.  And the funeral couldn't come at a worse time, we had to post pone my husband's Gastric Bypass.  He was wonderful and understanding but I couldn't help feeling really sad for him because I know how excited he was to get his approval and schedule his surgery. 

John's surgery date came and he was so incredibly excited and I was so excited for him..knowing the journey he had ahead of him.  Things went well, he had no complications.  Today he is 6 weeks out and down 50lbs and two pant sizes!!!  He is doing pretty awesome! 

Now for the most incredible news..on Friday I got approved for plastics!!!!!  Yup, you did read that right.  After being denied then having my appeal lost for 2 months and no one at the insurance company wanting their department to take responsibility for the appeal being in the wrong place my surgeon's office said what the heck and put together a completely new request, with all of my supporting documentation and sent it off again...they said YES!!!
