I first met Dr. Duncan at the Seminar and he has a great humor about him. He didn't leave any stone unturned about the surgery. He doesn't try to talk you into the process at all and lets you know ALL of the risks and benefits of it.I had been very determined to have the WLS before I got there but after the deminar I was over the top with enthusiasm.I also had an office visit the same day as the seminar and there staff if very nice. They even came out into the waiting area and asked if anyone needed anything like water. or anything else. I wouldn't change my mind at all on the choice I made of him.

    Never look back, and keep on looking forward to tomorrow! Another week and no approval
on November 29, 2005 10:23 am
Well here it is another week gone by and no word on insurance approval.I am calling BCBS FED everyday seeing if they know anything yet and its the same ole same ole saying. Its still pending. Jeez! So here it is fixing to be December and it doesnt look so good of having surgery before the end of the year. I can handle that, just approve me and someone give me a date so can know whats going on. Thanksgiving came and went pretty fast with alot of messing up on my end. I ate ALOT! Well cant do anything about that now as Tanja says, just get back up on the horse, wagon or whatever you fell off of lol. So as I say, ill be back on when I find out something to update.....

Waiting for insurance approval

Well so far there is nothing to tell. Just waiting on the insurance approval. I have probably drove them people at bcbs fed crazy with my calling everyday but hey, the squeeky wheel is always the one that gets the oil.lol... So I sit here at one thirty in the morning and cant sleep. To much going on in my fat head I guess. I havent been eatting in no means like I should. I go off the deep end really bad and then crawl back up on the wagon. So many trips off of it though has really set me back Im sure. I feel so stressed like a rubberband with all this waiting and everthing I put in my mouth is very important. I have come so far to be turned down from gaining weight. So now I am stressed AND scared Ill screw this up. Seems like the closer It gets the more I eat. Go figure lol. So have been talking to Tanja and she is a life saver I tell ya. I bend her ear quite often telling her about my mess ups and hill climbing back up. She really is a great person and very concerned about me. We have a ball on here. Dont know if I could have made it this far without her help. So guess Ill pick up again where I left off at next time. I hope I will have something to say very soon.

Talked to lolita

Well talked to Lotita first thing this morning after I kept getting the answering machine. She told me that she was getting ready to fax my ins package off to BCBS FED. Man I was so excited.She even told me that they are really fast about responding to approvals. YEAH!! I am as of today, waiting for approval and will go from there. She said I will have a pre and post op class and thats when they will give me my surgery date. So will holler on here when have something to tell.
