Be the first to leave a comment.My Story Hello, my name is Tammy (aka MammyJeano). My whole life has semed like a struggle. Growing up w/ deaf parents I assumed the role of caregiver, babysitter, substitute mom,housekeeper,etc. Being the oldest of 7 kids.I guess I really never put myself first. Then I started my own family at the early age of 17, by the time I was 21 I had 4 BEAUTIFUL children.Never Giving my body much less my mind a break. at the age of 25 I had a emotional , nervous breakdown. I finally got my mind together but, unfortanately I was one of those emotional eaters. After years of DEPRESSION lots of therapy,and 150lbs. later,I began to reclaim my life.My children are now 14, 15, 17 and 19 (whoa I made it!!) I have robbed my children of the fun loving mother the used to know and deserve. I never realized how much weight I had gained I guess, yes I knew I had grown out of my clothes but, it was one day at work (I drive a school bus) yes I'm still in the caretaker role. When one of my little kindergarten girls came up to me and said 2 boys were in the back were calling me names She didn't want to say, Reluctantly she said things like beached whale, fatty,hippo.I was stunned it never really dawned on me how other people percieved me, much less kids. I had those boys stay behind and talked to them( they had gotten in trouble days before for cussing and was mad because they had gotten trouble at home) I asked why they would say those things, they were very mean and can hurt other peoples feelings.One said his dad says stuff like that to his mom all the time.I tol them GOD makes people in all shapes,colors and sizes. I then realized that I will always feel as if I need to help guide people.No, I didn't tell there parents. heres to a new and improved MOM and will be a great mamaw ONE DAY!THANK YOU LORD FOR THE SPEEDBUMPS but, I think you gave me a couple POTHOLES TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
