4 Months out from surgery. I have lost about 80 pounds. I am very happy at the amount of weight that I have lost. It has not been easy. For some reason, food does not taste good to me. I have to find things I can eat since a lot of food is nasty. That is something I am trying to cope with. Also, my hair has finally started falling out. I was not surprised because I do not get in the protein I am supposed to. I have naturally curly hair and my hair is so thick anyway, people just assume I got it thinned out. I am actually getting compliments on my hair. If only they knew! hehehe. The holidays are coming up which is a big test. I have been blessed to not have many complications from my surgery. I have not ever thrown up. I also have not ever had a dumping syndrome (knock on wood). I think it is primarily because I dont push myself to eat enough or try a lot of new foods do to the fear of throwing up and having a dumping syndrome. I was a size 26 before surgery and a BMI of 50.1 and now I am in a size 18 pants and a 16/18 shirt and a BMI in the 30's. If I never lost one more pound, I can honestly say that I am soo happy I did this surgery and my life is 100% better and healthier.
