My Story

 My name is Jae and I am 25 years old. After taking the road less traveled with several interesting detours, this fall  I  will be entering my senior year at college, and will graduate in May with a degree in journalism. I chose now as the perfect time to get wls because I am entering a new phase of my life, one where I don't want to be held back by anything. I am a healthy young woman, (the only ailment I have is that I am obese) much to the surprise of my doctors, and I want to stay that way. So in order for me to ensure I don't develop diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.. I have decided to get this surgery. 

My hobbies include cooking, watching and analyzing movies (film studies minor here!), losing myself in a good book, coming up with new nicknames for my cat Xena ( Xenie in a Bottle, I dream of Xeanie and  Charlie Xeen #WINNING,being the latest) and listening to music. I have a pretty good support team comprised of my mother, my sister and a couple of friends, (one who has had Lap Band) and appreciate this site for lending me extra support. 

August 15, 2012 is the first day of the rest of my life, and I look forward to the blessings that are awaiting me on the other side!
