Well everyone, I am more than 7 yeras post-op now, and if asked, I would most certainly do it again. And I would not choose anyone other than Dr. Fobi. I have met hundreds of his patients through support group meetings, and the concensus is always the same...if you want it (bypass surgery) done right the first time, Dr. Fobi is your surgeon. I know there are other surgeons, doctors and practitioners with all kinds of methods, procedures and types of "bypass," but from my experience, the Fobi Pouch continues to be the "leader" with results that other surgeons are still striving to achieve. Although his staff is "busy" and is not always able to treat each of us with the time we feel we deserve, when it comes down to crunch time, I would not want any other group working "for me." They are compassionate, kind and caring, and KNOW that they are doing. Bariatric surgery is not "just another surgery" to Dr. Fobi, it is his reason for getting up each morning. If I have said it at one support group meeting, I have said it at 100 or them..."I would sell my house to have this surgery with Dr. Fobi. What is your life worth to you?" If you quibble abou the "price" you have to pay for this surgery...fighting with your insurance, financing, or spending your retirement dollars...it is only because you do not yet understand how this surgery will change your life. By all means, do your research...and if you do it well, you will always find Dr. Fobi and the Fobi Pouch right up at the top of your list.
