    Sorry I got here after the surgery, but I still wish you the best of luck with your new life. Let me tell you, it will be great. And just so you know, your sister will be annoyed with you because guys lose the weight easier than gals. Why, I don't know, but they do.

The Day Nears

As my surgery date draws near (Tues. July 22) I am both excited and apprehensive. I'm excited about the weight I've lost during the last year (meeting my insurance companies requirements) and how much more energy I have and how much better I feel. After the surgery it will only get better. When I start realizing how much my life and lifestyle is going to change, I get a little nervous. I have a great support group of family and friends, so I know it will be worthwhile.

My Story

I’ve struggled with my weight all my life and now I’ve reached a point where I’m tired of food defining who I am and jeopardizing my health. For the last year I’ve watched my younger sister go through gastric bypass surgery and the resulting journey to weight loss and better health. She has done very well and has become my inspiration. I plan to follow in her footsteps and join her journey to better health. We both want to be around to play with our grandchildren.
