Praise God, surgery went well. Marli got out of recovery and into her room around 4:30pm. She is groggy, but doing good. Her husband Troy tells us all thank you for all our prayers and support of her. Now the adventure begins!! blessings, Tami

Father God, we ask your hand of protection and mercy upon Marli tonight and tomorrow. Grant her doctors and nurses your wisdom to care for her with excellence and may her surgery be without complications. I ask that even now, you protect her body from infection and any post op problems. Grant her spirit your peace and presence and for her husband Troy too. Make yourself known to her in a mighty way. Give us wisdom to support and encouage her along the way. May her sleep tonight be sweet, and without fear or tension. May she go into surgery with confidence. Be with her post op, that the nurses will meet her needs for pain medications and she would not have much nausea. I thank in you in advance for my dear friend, and I know you are watching over her even now. In Jesus' name, Amen love Tami

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wow, I can't believe another year has gone by. Tow years ago this time I weighed in at over 356 pounds. Last year at this time I weighed 250. I have shed nearly another 50 pounds this year. Wow! I weighed in at 203.5! Woo Hoo! Movement!!! It won't be long before I hit ONDERLAND! What amazing things this surgery has done for me. For the first time in YEARS I am actually going out tonight to celebrate New Years Eve. (No worries, we are taking a cab.) I am not embarrased to go out and be see. I am no longer a big ol blob. I feel so great and life is good.

What a year. I am so glad this is the last year we have a Bush in the White House and I can't wait for the Obama Presidency. I have changed jobs and am so happy working at ACH of America for Chuck Hall and with my friends Sean and Scott. I have mad connections with old friends and can't wait to take a trip up to Boston in the spring to visit them. I would never have made contact were it not for this surgery because I would not have wanted them to see me so damn fat. I am really really looking forward to 2009.

Christmas this year was great. I love being with my family and I Thank God for them every day. This Christmas I was able to play with my nephews, ride their razor scooter, and lift Connor over my shoulder and spin him around. Again, something I could not have done without surgery.

Here are some photos from Christmas this year:

And last but not least, my new Michael Kors shoes!! Thank you for the Macy's gift cards! I swear, the more weight I lose, the higher my heels get. Man, I love love love these shoes!

See you all in 2009. It is going to be a GREAT year!!!

Techically I lost this week. I was 203.7 - but I only count the half pound and with the .7 I must round up. So, 204 it is. I have to remember than this time of year before I had surgery, I would normally GAIN 10 pounds or more, so YEAH ME!

This past weekend I went with my girlfriend to Amelia Island. I had such a blast. We went dancing on Friday night and shopped all day Saturday and then sang Karaoke on Sunday night. We met some really cool people who we will remain friends with I am sure. At least facebook friends. lol.

Here are some pictures from last weekend.

This is me and Pam. We were laughing so hard when this picture was taken. It was so cold that I had my hand in her pocket. I didn't plan for the cold and was freezing!

Me and Sherry mesing around in the condo:

Me at this really cool, really old cemetery we found:

I love this shot:

Me at this cool store called Trailer Park Collectibles:

At the Karaoke Bar. My friend Diane - who I love to death - joined us on Saturday night. And here are the friends we met that night. From left to right: Sherry, Diane, Andre, Amber and Ryan. They were a blast. Not worries, we took a cab!

Me, Diane and Sherry. The three Amigas!

Jennifer, the karaoke master (she ran the karaoke), Me and Michelle, our waitress who was so fun!

A good time was had by all. I love my friends so much.

Next week is Chirstmas and I am SO FAR BEHIND! My job is crazy in December - such a busy month because so many companies change their workers comp in January. I now have three clients that are all mine! I love working at ACH so much. I love Chuck Hall the owner and his wife Connie. And, of course, Sean Hall and Scott Wilson - I have known both of them going on 20 years now. I think before my surgery I was such a homebody. I never wanted to go out. Not as much as I do now anyway. I was bummed about being in public and being the fat girl. That girl is gone and I love the life I live now so very much. But I do think that is why I am so far behind this year. I will have to play catch up this weekend.

Thanks for reading. :)

I know I know, I am a day late again. But this time it is not my fault. Our cable was out on our street last night and I had not internet at home. So I went to update, and couldn't.

Anyhow, I stayed the same weight again. I was starting to get really upset. Then my friend John told me that I need to have my measurements taken again. I didn't want to because I just measured in October and my weight had not changed much at all since then, What, like 5 pounds? I told John that the scale was already pissing me off and that I didn't need to be disappointed by the tape measure as well. But yesterday I went ahead and got measured at my personal trainer. And guess what? I have lost a half inch in my chest, 2 1/2 inches in my shoulders, 1 3/4 inches in my upper arm, 1 inch in my waist, 1 3/4 inches in my hips, 1 inch in my thigh, 1 inch in my calf and 1/2 inch in my neck. Woo Hoo!! That is 9 1/2 inches lost in just 2 months! That ROCKS! So, John was right, and I am glad I finally listened to him. But before you go thinking he is super cool, keep in mind that John also wants me to make a drum out of the skin I have removed during plastic surgery and present it as a gift to Dr. Kim. LOL. But truly, John is my math god and is made of awesome and he has helped me so much throughout all of this. I am glad you are my friend John.

So, even though the scale has thwarted me once again, the tape measure has proved that I am still loving fat but gaining muscle. And that is a good thing!

Well, another week at the same weight. Sucks because I was down to 203 over the weekend. But Wednesday is the day I count my weight so such is life. As long as I am not gaining, I am happy.

Tonight I went to the Buckcherry concert. Danced my ass off and had a great time. I love my new life.

Short and sweet.

We will see what next week brings.
