...I certainly kept moving to lose through the first 18 months of my journey ... I remember just looking out for those posts that Kathy wrote ...did you move to lose???? those were not only inspirational but motivational ... but today 26 months post RNY I no longer need to lose ... I am maintaining for LIFE! FIT, HEALTHY AND LOVING IT...

Guess what? I am not lying on a bed of roses either ... my husband is laid up, depressed battling still with his diabetic foot and the ups and downs with his transplanted kidney ... my son still gets very depressed and on any given day this house can go from blissfull peace to all hell broke loose ... but I can deal!!! I committed myself to ME ... I am on this journey for ME and I plan to enjoy it, LIVE it and LOVE it because it is the life I chose for ME here, now, and after...

So yesterday when DH was acting like WHOA ME - POOR ME and I was getting sort of fed up in my natural man and needed to blow off some steam I went to Bikram and had a hot blast...and as sometimes I feel I had enough already, today my son began acting up I just packed them all up ... I sat the DH outdoors with our neighbor on the deck in the sun, I grabbed my son fussing and not wanting to come and brought him out to the gym and I swam laps ... around and around and around while he played basketball and did weights and when I was ready to leave he wanted to stay go figure....

So today WHEN LOSING IS OVER I AM KEEPING ON MOVING .... CHECK THIS SISTA OUT ... BEFORE AND AFTER ....

Only had WLS and an insurance paid Panniculectomy ... nothing done to nor above the navel ... I toned it up... like this...

and with free strokes and back strokes and once in a while a butterfly I am preparing for my brachioplasty toning up my wings like this

and when the "honeymoon" is over and you no longer need to lose but to maintain just keep on MOVING ... swimming, jogging, running, Bikram, aerobics those are my favorites .. what are yours???? I am feeling fit for life and after a good swim....

nothing better than the jacuzzi then back in the pool shocking that body into shape... for LIFE

because of went from this...with 5 co-morbidities to being healthy and FIT ... who cares what it looks like IT FEELS GOOD AND I AM HAPPY!!!

never thought I would go through with it but I did ... out of town, across the state lines in the air and further ... I dealt with customs, the airports the hustle and bustle all ALONE and after I conquered my fear and worries about my family I had soooooo much fun after all....  I started to cancel but then Al said I must go ... I said how can I? you are not 100% yet and my daughter said ... mom .. go on ... we will take care of Al ...  so I went away on my trip ... I was far from home yet I had home in me .... I met with family, I met with friends and I met my classmates from over 30 years ago, we had gone to elementary, high school and even to the university together ... we had a wonderful meal ... we brought together yesterday and today ... it was like we were always there, we were all the same but somehow better .... and to think that across the stateline I inspired one of them with my silly banter and my goofy blogs that I write to encourage myself and maybe someone else along the way ... so here we are from pigtails to maturity.... my classmates and I... one of them having gastric bypass 10 months after me...


We lost over 400 pounds between the two of us ... and I am taking credit for 189 lbs lost that I refuse to see any part of ever again ... I WILL WORK IT!!!!


AND OF COURSE I CAME BACK HOME ... AND DID MY CRAZY SPIN FOR MY DH AND SNAPPED MY PICS FOR MY JOURNAL A PICTURE A DAY KEEPS THE POUNDS AWAY .... I CAN'T BELIEVE I VENTURED OUT ON MY OWN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SOOOOOOOOOO MANY YEARS .... AND EVERYONE WAS FINE AND FARED WELL WITHOUT ME ... Oh WELL ... I KNEW I WAS NOT INDISPENSIBLE .... BUT I AM SOOOOOOOO GLAD TO BE BACK HOME AND SLEEPING IN MY OWN BED ... NOTHING FEELS AS GOOD AS HOME.... THANK YOU OH FOR ALLOWING ME TO SHARE ...  TWO YEARS AND FIVE MONTHS AGO I WON'T HAVE FIT IN THE SEAT OF THE PLANE WITHOUT SQUISHING SOMEBODY BOTTOM HEAVY AS I WAS TODAY I FIT JUST FINE WITH ROOM TO SPARE AND ON ALL THE CONNECTIONS AND IN ALL THE AIRPORTS IT WAS JUST RAINING MEN -- YOUNG ONES -- OLD ONES -- INTERMEDIATE ONES --- ALL OFFERING TO HELP ME --- ALL MAKING SMALL TALK WITH ME --- ME???? THE ONE THAT FOR SO MANY YEARS ONLY AL SEEMED TO NOTICE EXISTED ....
WLS IS THE BEST THING I DID FOR ME INDEED!!!  I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR OH AND THE SUPPORT OF THIS WONDERFUL CYBERFAMILY....

Life is a whirlwind and I am in it and living it.  I just got back from my trip so exited to visit with my family and friends.  Al stayed in the care of Candice and Kenny and is doing so much better within his condition.  I met up with my classmates of a lifetime ... to think I spent elementary, high school and university years with them ... we met after being apart for so long although all members of a cybergroup .... I took a picture with Camilo you had his gastric bypass ten months after me and inspired by me or at least so he told me ...  I have to get caught up on work and on my messages ... and get back to my OH support and inspiration spot ... I have not gained an ounce and lost a couple more pounds but that is okay ... I am maintaining within my range ....  I will write again.... I MISSED MY OH FAMILY AND I AM SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY TO BE BACK HOME AND SLEEPING IN MY VERY OWN BED!!!!
I have to unpack and get back into the swing of things ... still have jet lag (lol)

this is me and my classmate Camilo ... we both had gastric bypass surgery and we have lost over 400 lbs between us ... I lost 189 of those .... and have not gained an ounce and do not intend to...

we had a lovely time in an Argentinian Restaurant ... dinner was superb ... the few bites I had of it before getting totally stuffed...

WE INSPIRED EACH OTHER ON OUR JOURNEY ... I HAD MY RNY ON 2/5/07 AND HE HAD HIS 10 MONTHS AFTER ... CHECK US OUT...

I AM GLAD TO BE BACK!!! AND I WILL BE CHECKING ON MY WONDERFUL OH CYBERFAMILY!!!!
