Andrew Duffy, M.D.
Dr. Andrew Duffy is the best!!! He is with Yale University Bariatric Surgeons - a center for excellence and he is in with Dr. Robert Bell. I went to the seminar on 12/8/06 and listened attentively to all they had so say. Needless to say when Dr. Duffy presented I just knew that this is the guy I was looking for to do my surgery - he knew his stuff and he was kind and sensitive to my questions. I was getting frustrated because I could not get an appointment for my psych eval prior to 1/07 and he was kind enough to give me the name of Mark Gaynor, LCSW and I got an appointment right away. My paperwork was all complete and in Dr. Duffy's office by 1/2/07. Since I did not get a call with an appointment by 1/3/07, the very next day, I decided to e-mail Dr. Duffy on our Groupwise system that we use at Yale and I said \"I am hoping God places it in your heart to read this e-mail - I need a date!!!\" and he read it - I got a call with a date four days after. I feel confident and I know that I made the right decision. The staff is great, Jane, his nurse manager was great - she had R&Y a couple years ago and looks great and she used to work as an OR nurse where I work which is part of Yale too.

Valentine's Day ... Day of Love and Friendship -...

I did so many things ... with DH,,, with DS and with DD ... I decided to clean my mess room/home craft shop/den .... I have so many canvases .. unfinished ... paints... brushes... and palettes and palettes and more palettes .... no idea why I don't get rid of them ... I just don't want to ... I traded my fork for my paintbrush ... now that is a lie ... I have been scribling and painting for as long as I remember .... I LOVE PAINTING ... EVEN GOT IN TROUBLE WHEN I WAS A KID FOR PAINTING MY FAVORITEST NUN IN A BIKINI ... GO FIGURE I FELT THAT BEING IN MY HOT TROPICAL COUNTRY THOSE HABITS WERE TOO HOT ... AND I GOT IN TROUBLE ... I THOUGHT MY CRAYON PAINTING WAS PRETTY TOO ... THEY HURT MY LITTLE FEELING BACK THEN (lol)

Yesterday I did soooooooooooo many things ... yet it feels like I did nothing ... the more I sorted the more shiot piled up ... this is not a job I can pay someone to do .... I have to do this myself ... but some of these brushes came from all across the ocean and the fibers are too good ... and I do not want to get rid of my caked up palettes and boxes and boxes of paints and unfinished canvases and fabrics and threads and sewing baskets and sergers and sewing machings and and and the accumulation of shiot that is in my mess room ... so I got confused and started painting ... so my post keeps growing....

I CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY!!!!!

In spite of everything else ... happiness/joy/contentment are the state of mind I choose to be in ... I don't care if the world is falling apart around me ... I am alive ... I am healthy ... and I am living to see ANOTHER DAY ... and you who are reading this should have that mindset too ... Hey my beautiful sista and my handsome brother ... we got our first miracle this morning ... we opened our eyes... we are breathing ... we are alive ... LETS MAKE THE BEST OF IT!!!!! AND FOR A GREAT WORKOUT TRY ZUMBA!!! I AM LOVIN' IT!!!

Do you think I went nuts post WLS because I am blonde and dangerous (LOL) .... WROOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGG!!! GUESS WHAT???? BEEN THERE DONE THAT .... CHECK IT OUT..... ALL I NEEDED WAS HEALTH AND MOBILITY ... THE REST I ALREADY HAD ... ALWAYS ROCKED MY HAIR ... AND ALWAYS DRESSES OR ROCKED A PIECE OF FABRIC INTO A PIECE OF CLOTHING PER MOI.... I THINK I LOVE THE BLONDE CRAZINESS ... LOL... AL THINKS I LOOK 'HOTTER' ... way to compliment your wife my dear DH.... (lol)

To thinks a couple days ago I don my hair ... my tracks are sooooooooooooooo tight (lol) and then decided to lighten it up...

When My Faith Connects with My Place of Despair...

MY CIRCUMSTANCE CHANGES!!!!

3 YEARS AGO TODAY ... I MADE A CHOICE FOR LIFE ... I HAVE GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY .. I AM CELEBRATING MY THIRD YEAR SURGIVERSARY ... I AM HEALTHY... I AM HAPPY ... AND I HAVE KEPT IT ALL OFF ... NEVER ONCE DID I TAKE MY EYES OF THE MARK....

With life speeding by and having to wear so many hats and be in so many different places ... when I look in the mirror I connect NOT with the reflection in the mirror but with my inner woman the only one who is really really me ... the outward appearance does not really make the man .... it is the inner strength that is resilient that when you are weak it makes you strong,,, when I look in the mirror the only woman I see is the one in the last picture posted because she really will always be me ... for all the things that I have been through my inner woman braved the storm and WHEN MY FAITH CONNECTS WITH MY PLACE OF DESPAIR ... MY CIRCUMSTANCE ALWAYS CHANGES ...

3RD YEAR SURGIVERSARY ... I AM CELEBRATING ... AL I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS!!! DON'T YOU DARE WAKE ME UP WITH MARIACHI SERENADE COMING FROM A GRAMOPHONE UNDER MY WINDOW LOOKING TOTALLY DUFUS IN THAT BIG RED HAT ...LAST YEAR I WAS TRYING TO BE NICE BUT THE MUSIC YOU WERE PLAYING LAST YEAR WAS FOR A FUNERAL ... SO DON'T GO THERE - I HAVE A BUCKET OF WATER SITTING RIGHT HERE I WILL DOUSE YOU AND KENNY IF YOU PULL THAT SHIOT THIS YEAR!!!!!  OK? (lol)..
