Michael Malik, M.D.
Have been looking for a surgeon I liked who was also "in-network" for NC State Employees Health Plan. Had my consult with Dr. Malik on 1/8/04, and will be pursuing WLS with him. He is younger than the other surgeon I had a consult with, but he is still quite knowledgeable with a good reputation, and also quite personable. (There is something to be said for younger physicians who are more up-to-date on the latest and greatest - especially laprascopic surgery.) Their after-care support group is led by a psychologist and includes great lessons/topics/advice for post-op.

  • Musical Performance - Love doing it and seeing it!
  • Theater - Majored in it in college!
  • Writing - Love to read and to write.
  • Movies - Love all movies - action, comedy, romance, drama.....

    just got off speaking to a Groggy Paige.. She is in room 7018 and her number 784-3933. She has a little fever and feels crappy. She has already thought what has she done and I know wew all have been there. They got her Gallbladder and Malik started the Lap but had trouble then open her 5 inches so she was triple Whammy!!!!! I am going to try to visit her tomorrow. She is having a hard time with pain medication, making her sick and allergic to Morphine .So she is on the Loratab but it is making her sick. She is going to ask for Demerol. Her breathing is very shallow and she is walking. Not getting much sleep either. So Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers....Extra Hugs for her!!
