"WOW MOMENT"

Hello OH family! I hope everyone is doing well. I had a "WOW" moment that happened to me today and i wanted to share it with my family!!!!   I work for a Radford University and a young, good looking black man (didn't look no older than 18-20)came in and asked me  what time did the bowling alley open and i told him 10 am. He said "Thank You" and started walking off. Well in the mist of him walking off he was whispering something to me. I couldn't hear him because i still can't half hear out of my left ear. (When i went on vacation, i got water in my ear from the ocean and the swimming pool and i still can't hear too good out of the one ear).   Anyway i told him that i couldn't hear him and that he would have to come closer. I thought he was asking me another question about the gameroom. So he got up on me and asked "If i had a boyfriend". Well needless to say, i was in shock and disbelief so i asked him again to repeat himself and he asked if i had a boyfriend.  I held up my hand and told him that i was married. He looked disappointed and said that he was sorry and walked off.  Low and behold my co workers saw and heard everything. They were teasing me. I was just soooooo shocked. i wanted to know if that was real or not.LOL!!!!!!!!!!  One of my co workers told me that i was looking good and not only was i attracting older men but younger men too. I told him that i was probably old enough to be his mother. He was like he probably thought you were in your late 20's. I was like bless your heart and he was like you're in your late 30's.  They have told me that i look younger since i lost the weight. I remember b4 i lost the weight being out with my children and people who don't know me thinking that my babies were my grandchildren. That hurt me sooooo bad.   Anyway, I was calling everybody telling them what happened. I even called my husband who is visiting his father in Richmond, Va. and told him what happened. At first he laughed but then he asked if i was flirting with those college students. I told him that he had issues.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Anywho, this past weekend, i had one of my sisters from OH come and visit me. Tamara A. from Brooklyn, New York. We had a blast and she fit in with my family well. We stayed up late watching movies and talking even though she kept falling to sleep b4 the movies ended. Then we went shopping Saturday and i took her to "Chick fila". She had never heard or eaten at Chick fila.  The ones that know about this place know that they have "real" chicken sandwiches. She was soooooo impressed that while we were sitting there eating, she was calling her friends back in New York telling them about it.  So we had a ball and she also bought me some jeans from new york that were are a ready? 15/16 and they fit nice. I also bought a dress at target saturday that had been reduced to 7.48 and it was a regular size 16. i wore it to church Sunday. We took pictures and i will post them soon. In the pictures, i had the jeans on. I was looking at how small i was in those jeans. I have never worn jeans in my adult life. I feel like a kid again being able to wear things and do things that i couldn't at one point imagine doing. So i still have a ways to go but i'm happy with my progress. IT'S BEEN A MINUTE OH FAMILY!!!!!

Hello OH family! It's been a minute since i last posted so i thought i would update. Well let's see: I just got back from vacation. Went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and it was beautiful. Had a wonderful time and it felt soooo good to not be stared at because of my weight. I blended right on in with the crowd. My bathing suit was too big!LOL!!!!!!!!!!! My cousins who haven't seen me since i had the surgery was speechless. My husband and i was walking on the beach and a brotha walked by and spoke. so my husband stayed back to pick up shells (so he says) and he watched this man stare at me. He got mad of course and i thought it was funny. I told him that he should feel proud that the opposite sex is finding me attractive. So needless to say, everywhere i went, my husband was right with me.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!  B4 i went on vacation, i finally went for my 6 month( it was really my 7 month checkup.........LOL) checkup. When my surgeon saw me, all he could say was "WOW". He looked at my weight b4 surgery (300#) and i weighed in at 217!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  He kept asking me" do you know how much weight you have lost in 6 months"? He said that i was definately one of his success stories and he was soooo proud of me. He told me that people generally loose 65% of their body weight in the 1st 18 months of the surgery. He told me that i have already lost 60% of my body weight. He asked me if my goal weight (170) was still the same or if i was going to change it and i told him that i was going to keep it there. He told me that i will surpass that if i keep up the good work. Well let me tell you, i had a wonderful vacation and i picked up 3 pounds. My scale has me at 220. I'm still wearing 16W in skirts  and 18 in tops.I can wear a 14/16 but  I don't like for my shirts to be tight because i have that sagging skin in the back now and i need to be hiding that.LOL!!!!!!!So today, I have resulted to the protein shakes all day and a sensible dinner. Plus i really didn't exercise that much while i was off. I was off for 11 days including the weekends so i had a ball, but now i have to get back on track. I did workout one day at the beach. The motel that we stayed in had a gym and i sweated my butt off.LOL!!!!!!!!!!  It was after i got back home that i got lazy. I told my surgeon i want to be 200 by the beginning of the year so i better work hard at it. Well Oh family, I just wanted to  say hello and while i was gone, i miss being on this sight but i'm back now.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!  So you all take care and i will update again soon.
