What I would like to accomplish after wls

and i thought i would share with you some of my moments i want to achieve once I get my weight loss started

Buy thigh high boots and buy a new short skirt and top
Not shop at Penningtons or any other Plus Size Clothing store
Get off my meds
No more CPAP machine
Able to go for longer walks with my daughters and be more active in their lives (ie go to school functions)
Sit on a plastic seat and not be told to sit on a wooden one
Sit comfortably on a bus or airplane
Reduce my risk of diabetes
Get my confidence back that i used to have
Go to my previous Family Dr and show her what I have accomplished (as she is the one who told me about OOC)
Help others and inspire others that they can do it too
Buy a baby phat outfit not just a purse :)
Be able to clean the house and not feel in pain
Sleep better at nite without pain
Do the dishes all at once instead of at intervals due to lower back problems
Slow down the deteration of my L4 L5 if possible (lower back pain)
To be as pain free as possible
Would love to feel better and have more energy

Just Meet With Debbie

Well I had my appointment today with Debbie to start the process of getting OHIP to approve my WLS. I have decided to go with RNY.  I have weighed the pros and cons of both....and RNY is the best choice for me.  I am confident in that choice and have become well informed about both of the surgeries. So now its the wait and see process.

My Story

I have been overweight my whole life, well at least from the age of 12 yrs old. I have always been the "fat" girl who smiles and laughs and jokes about her weight, yet deep down I have always wanted to be smaller.  It has been a long journey and finally I am taking the steps to take back my life and start living for me. I want to be able to do so much more....for myself most importantly but also so I can be there to see my children grow old and have kids themselves.  I like others have tried many ways to lose weight.  But it wasnt until I watched "Half Ton Mom" that it make me wake and see that I HAVE TO CHANGE MY WEIGHT ASAP!! I had a phone number to call to get the OHIP process started but didnt use it until I saw the show. I also have sleep apnea and had never really used my machine. I have started to use that now as I dont want my daughters to find me dead.  I am happy to report that I am on my way to being a better me and to get fixed.  I am lucky I have the support of so many people. So now the wait begins. Luckily I have a DR'S appt on monday and he can sign the forms and get them faxed to OHIP.  I am so excited for this journey to finally show people who I am on the inside and the outside!!!
