i really liked everyone so far. i did feel that my time with dr wynn could have been a bit more in depth but i dont have any bad feelings. she was very nice and very willing to put me through the program. im definetly ready!! i cant wait to continue!

consult in 02? (hampton va)

my first impression was a good one i guess. my original surgon was dr. hopson but he was deployed. i dont know anyone whos had dr moscoso for the surgery so im kinda feelin odd about it. i did meet a lady who had him for several surgeries just not wls, and she said he was awesome. he was very nice. his staff was nice, i like his asst. roz. she seems very caring. he strongly emphasizes aftercare and has a very structured plan for it as well. i will be seeing him every 2 weeks for quite some time. which i like. he told me all the risks of the surgery as well as the benefits. i think im going to like him, i just wish i could find someone else whos had him. he only does open and has never lost a paitent. he said hes done @ 150 or so. with no leaks from his paitents personally. the office has done @ 600 with 3 leaks and 1 death from the leak. so i think thats a good thing right? i think bedside manner is a definite must. and surgical competience... well duh. lol as for his overall rating, ill say @ a 7 or 8.(on a scale of 1-10) i havent really spent that much time with him yet. like i said im still a little uneasy because i havent heard from anyone else thats used him.

I GOT A DATE!!!

03/04/08

i got a date for surgery today!! due to the short time required by my insurance for the pre op stuff, i was able to schedule my date today. i have all my pre op clearances scheduled: psych on 3/10/08; pulmo on 3/14/08; cardio on 3/21/08; pre op on 3/20/08 and my classes and 2 support groups are in there too. ill be all done and cleared by the 21st!! that being said my surgery is tenativly scheduled for April 3, 2008!! LESS THAN A MONTH!!! i can hardly wait!! im waiting now to get ahold of St Francis to get my nutrition apts with sam and maryellen scheduled and also for the hospital to call me back with an apt for my PAT's. i have 4 more lbs to loose before my pre op apt on the 20th. i know i can do it though. well ill update when i get more news!!
