Onederland!
on March 9, 2013 1:27 pm

Today was the day that I hit Onederland, and I'm just excited as could be! All the working out has helped me really tone down but that scale hadn't moved in a month...until today! It's nice to cry because I'm happy about my weight instead of how sad it used to make me feel.

Painfree At Last
on February 3, 2013 9:16 am

So, I had the kidney stone blasted this past Wednesday and they took the stent out as well. I feel like I've been kicked in the back and stomach by an angry mule, but it honestly feels better than how it was before! I did a tiny workout at the Y yesterday, it felt so good to get out at and about and not want to cry. Oh, and pain must burn up more calories because I lost 13 pounds during this whole 2 week episode. Not the way I wanted it to come off, but I'll still take it. Now, looking forward to getting into Onederland soon, yay!

Rough Patch
on January 24, 2013 7:06 pm

So, I have a kidney stone that's been killing me for over a week now and have had a stent put in to help with the urine flow. Next week, I'm schedule to have a lithotripsy on it. Big fun, not. The day after that, I have an appointment with the electro-physiologist, a sub-specialty of cardiology, to talk about if I need a cardiac ablation or not. Oh yeah, a week before I went to the ER for the stone, I went there for shortness of breath that wouldn't stop, which was diagnosed as bradycardia. Before all this, I was physically feeling so good, exercised about 5 times a week and was having a lot more energy. Not having exercised in a week really is rough but I hurt too much to do it. Hell, it hurts to just drive the car to get my prescriptions.

I guess gastric bypass is a big factor for kidneystones, damn it. I hope that this is a one-time thing.

More than half way there
on December 29, 2012 6:17 pm

As of yesterday, I have officially lost 60 lbs, yay! I've been working out a lot and trying to avoid stress, but the loss of my job in this coming March is looming closer and closer. I've had cigarette cravings for the first time in months and I HAVE to beat those.  The heart issue is coming back into play again, ugh. I had to wear a King of Hearts monitor for 3 weeks and saw the cardiologist yesterday. Seems that I have paroxysmal atrial tachycardia. He took me off one of the heart meds because combined with the weight loss, it may be contributing to the problems I've been having with my heart rhythm. I go back on February 8th. If I still am having the same things happen, I'll be getting a cardiac ablation.

Seriously. I am so stressed and alone right now, it scares the hell out of me.

8 Weeks
on October 22, 2012 8:16 pm
So, I FINALLY hit 40 lbs lost, thank god! What's funny is that it happened after a week of having more calories than I've been having because I had a few birthday dinners this past week. I guess maybe I was having too few and my body hit starvation mode? In any case, it feels good. :)
