Surgeon Testimonial

Jorge Acosta, MD
My surgery was done by Dr. Eldo Frezza. He turned out to be pretty bad. My insurance company assigned me to Dr. Acosta for follow-ups, and he is absolutely adorable. Much better care than my original surgeon, and nice looking to boot! ha ha. I feel lucky to have him!

OMG!! Yes, I got it!!
on September 28, 2008 8:45 am
Mary called me in to her office on Thursday and said that she wanted to offer me the supervisor job!!  She sent an email out about 5 minutes later, and I was swamped with well wishers!!  The agents seemed to be genuinely happy for me.  I think they know, I will try my best to be on their side.  I have been in those trenches or ones just like them for the last 10 years.  I will try my best to be fair, but I will also have to align to what Mary and Omar expect from me.  I was doing the happy dance all day after that!  I was just about convinced that I wasn't going to get the promotion.  Woooo Hoooo!!

On the weightloss front....I did get down to 191.2, but Auntie Flo showed up last night.  I am not going to step on that scale until right before she leaves.  The few extra pounds she brings me always discourages me.  I will be so glad to get back to the 180's,  Then it will be the 170's....etc.  The 10 pound goals are easier and more fun.  That game seemed silly when I weighted 260.  I got some size 14 pants yesterday.  They are a little snug, but not too much.  I would wear them out to work or anywhere else.  Buying any size 16's right now just seems like a waste for sure.

Enough already...

I have been playing with the same few pounds for too dang long!! I went down briefly to 192 last week, but then back up to 196, down to 193 then back up to 195.  UGH!!   It's really driving me insane.  I haven't yet started to log my calorie intake, but I might have to.  I had a really bad stuck episode on Tuesday night.  I don't think I will ever eat chicken fried rice again!!  I was up very late, and just decided to call in sick on Wednesday.  That was the first time in almost a year that I have called in, so I was entitled.  LOL

I had an interview for the supervisor position on Monday.  It was unexpected.  I am not sure how it went. I really think management is concerned about my ability to be a "tough" supervisor.  I am friends with so many of the agents.  I don't know how "tough" I would be either....but it's time in my life for me to move up and get the promotion.  I hope I hear something this week.

Joe and I went to the NM State Fair on Saturday.  We had fun, went to the rodeo and saw Luke Bryan in concert.  I don't know much about Country music anymore, so I didn't know who he was, but he sounded good.  I wore my size 14 jeans and cowboy boots!  LOL  I saw a few guys looking at me.    I am nowhere near goal, but I am feeling so much better about myself already.

I meet my new surgeon on October 9th.  I have to sit through their 3 hour class as if I hadn't had surgery yet.  Oh well, I sure hope this one cares about me and my band!

Dancing Queen
on September 13, 2008 1:54 pm

A few people in my area at work, the Contact Center, got other jobs, like in Staffing.  Yesterday was their last day, so there was a party at a night club for them last night.  Joe doesn't drink very often if at all......so I told him he had to take me.  ha!  He doesn't like to dance, so he mingled a bit.  I DANCED ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!  I literally danced for almost 4 hours straight.  I was a complete puddle of sweat when we left and VERY drunk.  ha ha ha ha   I had so much fun!!  Joe bought me two Long Island Iced Teas and a few people bought me other drinks.  I am so sore all over today, but the scale said 192!!!!!!!!!!!   WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!  I told Joe that he has to take me dancing every weekend!  ha!!   I was 195 yesterday morning.  Sheeeesh!!  I was thrilled!

Still no news on the promotion, but I don't think it's going to happen.  *sigh* oh well...I will just work on finding a positon where I am more appreciated.  LOL

Weekly update
on September 6, 2008 7:44 am
Not too much going on.   Aunt Flo came to see me last Sunday and she really packed on the pounds!!  I had briefly gone back up to 200!  *gasp* But I am back down to 194 as of this morning.  I am waiting to get past that finally.  Hopefully I will break in to the 180's  in a week or two.  These little mini goals are so much easier to handle and help me stay focused better.
I really haven't been the best at making sure I eat healthy.  I think the stress over the last couple of weeks has tightened me up slightly and I might not be drinking as much as I am supposed to, which can also contribute to tightening of the band.  I am going to really focus on getting at least 80 ounces of fluid and shoot for 100.  No matter what I cook, I can't eat much of it.  I should focus on healthier foods since I am getting so little nutrition.  We are probably going to the state fair this weekend.....it'll be so much easier to walk the distance this year!  It will also be very interesting just for the fact that I can't eat all of that junk anymore.  LOL  I might try, but I am sure I can't!  ha ha ha!
