Hello my beautiful OH family! My name is Melanie and I live in San Jose, CA. I haven't been obese my whole life but I have always been overweight. I have tired every single diet out there and have been successful once. Only lost 40 lbs and gained it all back within a year. I had 2 pregnancies back to back so that didn't help with losing weight either. My starting weight was 242 and that put me at morbidly obese. Doesn't help that I am only 5'0 either! As of now, June 27, 2011, I am 216 and getting ready for surgery on July 5, 2011. Wish me all luck!!

Hola OH!! I am so sorry for not updating my blog and being current on all of my progress. Where have I been you ask?
I'VE BEEN LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST!! LOL. I haven't forgot about any of you beautiful people I PINKY SWEAR! SCOUTS HONOR!! I hope everyone is doing well and so far I am 6 months out and almost 100 lbs lost... Just 7 more pounds... YIPEEEE!! Miss you all and hope everyone has a blessed New Year!! Yay to 2012

3 Months Post Op

HOLA AMIGOS!! IT HAS BEEN A MONTH SINCE I LAST UPDATED MY BLOG TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW IN THE HECK IM DOING LOL... SO FAR SINCE JULY 5TH I HAVE LOST 49 POUNDS.. IS THAT TOO LITTLE? OR IS THAT TOO MUCH?? I DONT KNOW.. I HAD TO CANCEL MY 3 MONTH POST OP GROUP APPOINTMENT CAUSE MY KIDS WERE SICK.. I STOPPED DOING PROTEIN SHAKES CAUSE THEY STARTED MAKING ME GAG.. YUCK... IM EATING ALOT OF EGGS AND CHICKEN THOUGH... YUMMY... OHH AND CHEESE STICKS... I LOVE CHEESE STICKS.. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE HEATED UP IN THE MICROWAVE FOR 12 SECONDS LOL...  ENERGY WISE... IVE BEEN FEELING REALLY GOOD.. I CAN FINALLY RUN UP AND DOWN MY MOMS STAIRS WITH NO PROBLEMS... NO MORE GETTING WINDED WHEN I CHASE MY SON ALL OVER THE PLACE... THAT KID GETS INTO EVERYTHING!! MY DAUGHTER WAS NEVER LIKE THAT!! SHEEEESH!! I COULD ONLY IMAGINE HOW IT WOULD BE CHASING HIM IF I WERE STILL 242 POUNDS... I WOULD MAKE MY HUSBAND CHASE THEM LOL... ANY WHOOOO... HOW IS EVERYONE DOING ON THEIR WEIGHTLOSS?? I HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT!! I MISS YOU ALL!!

 HELLO EVERYONE!! SORRY I'VE BEEN M.I.A FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW!! I HAVE BEEN REALLY GOOD SINCE SURGERY! I HAVE BEEN TAKING ALL MY VITAMINS AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TAKE IN AS MUCH WATER AS I CAN.
HAS ANYONE FELT MENTALLY HUNGRY YET? EVERYONE AROUND ME IS EATING NORMALLY AND I FEEL LIKE IM JUST IN THE BACKGROUND CURSING THE GROUND THEY WALK ON LOL. I MISS ALL OF MY OH FRIENDS AND HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING WELL!!

4 Days Post Op

Hi friends!!! So as most of you know I finally got my surgery... Yippeeee!! July 5th 2011 is the beginning of my new life.
I am happy that I did what I did and I am glad that I have the most wonderful husband!! He has stuck by me day by day from the time I went into surgery to the day I left the hospital!! He is the best supporter EVER!! So any-who... I am feeling a little soar and tired but it is so worth it! Im not having any trouble with my water intake, protein intake, medicine, and vitamins. I think I am doing pretty well for just having surgery three days ago.. Well ya'll.. gotta get back to sleep... I will try and keep you updated!

I need advice QUICK!! EEEEEK!!

 Hi OH friends!!  I need help!!! So as most of you know my surgery is on the 5th of July and I have no idea what to bring to the hospital! Are the nurses going to tell me what to do or am I supposed to already know... I feel like theres a list of things I should bring but don't know what! I feel like I'm prepping for another C-section all over again!! DANGIT!! Someone, somebody, anybody, HEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!
