Surgeon Testimonial

Marc Zare M.D., F.A.C.S.
One year later and things continue to get better. Dr Zare and Ben, are still there to answer questions, help with strange symptoms. If anything ever goes wrong with me in the future, Dr Zare and my primary care are the first that I consult. Dr Zare is a great listener, a fantastic practitioner, with common sense values. I wish he could be my primary care Physician, but then that would deprive all of you for you needed specialty care.

2 years later here we are 36" waist 190 # can fit into my army uniform. Got a email from obesity help, asking to update the blog and profile. have held the weight steady now for a year.

some issues, exercise too much and the blood suger goes too low. was told exercise less eat more, havent heard that for 35 years.

it can be done, new life late in life, but, feels good, nice to shop in the sale row and find stuff you want

Cooking
on April 10, 2011 10:35 am
One great thing, when I am cooking, and I am a good cook, my former waistline will attest to that.  So, when cooking you know how you taste stuff, to see, well after testing yesterday, I was full, and watched the crowd devour the stuff, I envied most, but was satisfied on many fronts

6 months and changes
on April 10, 2011 10:05 am
Well, its been 6 months, and I have jetisoned 115#, and still reducing, slower but still on the right track. I have put all the post surgery issues behind me and learned to eat for health, not entertainment.

one drawback, I dont have the RX bills, but the clothes bill is going up, the Salvation Army store has been good to me, I trade some in, take some out, it really pays to shop on dollare tuesdays. Wal mart has good values, when the army is out.

Brown Rice, grapes, and Mahi Mahi are my favorites foods now and eggs, of different varieties, cooked, are with me. Its nice to see resturants haveing more fish and veggies on the menus, and when we go out we share a plate, and resturants have been really understanding.

Dr Zare and Ben, have been great thru this ride, my Buddy Todd has helped tremendously, MEG and DANA at the hospital support center have been great as well, if you are in Nor Cal, I whole heartedly suggest contacting Dr Zare and the staff at Good Sam in San Jose.

I went to Hawaii in March, had to shop in the reg sizes for a new suit, !!! have done that for 30 years.

Feel great, look great, ahppy and ready to go, gotta change that picture of me though, its from last year.

WOW
on December 17, 2010 10:13 am
cant beleive this, was stuck for a week at 246, then after all day out and about light snack, and plenty of water, weighed in this morning and 243, havent been here since 1991. am not hungry, drinking fluids, labs came back from doctor, great, no problems. all numbers are normal, even the cholesterol, eating alot of fish, low carbs.

this is turly a life alterering surgery with a lot of positives. The Salvation Army is getting a large box of clothes tomorrow.

happy Holidays everyone
