Well my wife and I had our first appointment on 02-16-2012. We were both going in under the assumption that we were going to have the RNY performed as our "preferred" method. Our doctor sat down with us and stated that we were better candidates for the VSG. I have a BMI of 42% at 6'3 and 335 lbs. with a large frame and my wife...........OUCH.........(She just slapped me in the head!) LOL........ I will let her discuss that at a later time. We are very excited/ nervous/ anxious to have the procedure performed. The doctor stated that my goal weight would be approximately 195-220, I am hoping for a very lean 195, but we will see!  This is the start of our long journey and this site has helped us out tremendously! We will be posting pictures soon before we start our pre-op nutritional requirements so everyone can follow.
