Pre-surgery thoughts

I am having surgery Sept 26 and as the date gets closer I find myself on OH more and more, trying to glean all the experiences and suggestion possible. I know this is my own journey but part of me wants as much info so that when I have to deal any issues I will have some frame of reference to rely on. I have noticed that I get comfort in knowing that I am not alone in experiencing something significant. I know I can't predict every outcome but it is helps me to have lots of tools in my bag to work with. Hope that makes sense.
