Robert Chastanet
I thought that Dr. Chastanet was a very kind man the first time I met him. I felt very comfortable knowing that he would be my surgeon. I had my surgery on 9-19-06 and 9 days later I'm feeling great. The office staff was also very helpful. I think that surgical competence and bedside manner must be equal and it is with Dr Chastanet!!!!

I've lost 80lbs so far, but I haven't lost any weight for about 2 weeks, what's up with that!!!!!  I was hoping for 100lbs for my 6 month check up, I still have 3 1/2 weeks left until then. I went to S.C. to meet up with family from Fl. for a long weekend, we had so much fun, I get to see them again in May for my nieces wedding, I can't wait, I hate living so far away from them. It had been a month since they saw me and I had lost 12lbs, but according to them it looked like a lot more, it felt good.... I've been the biggest one in the family for so long, it's kind of hard not to see myself like that anymore!!!! I guess I'm kind of average...  :-)  WOW  It's about time!!!! ;-)  Oh Yeah, I bought a pair of size 16 jeans......OMG!!!!!!  :-)

Feeling great

 I am feeling great....I just weighed myself and have lost another 4lbs since last week, tomorrow is 4 months and 1 week. I can wear boots with heels now!!!!!  I haven't worn anything but sneakers for the past couple of years. My feet, ankles, knees and back would hurt so bad that I couldn't wear anything else, even in the heat of summer, but not anymore!!!!  Another thing, my grandmother always said that she would give me her wedding rings and a couple of years ago she decided to, of course they didn't fit, so  I wore them on a chain around my neck but not anymore, they finally fit, I tryed them on yesterday....I love them and I love her....Minette

Cruise 2007

I just got home from my vacation in Florida and my cruise to the Bahamas. I was gone for 2 weeks---it's hard to leave family! I've lost a total of 70lbs, the 19th will be 4 months since my surgery, I feel great! The only foods that seem to bother me are ice cream, I can have 3 or 4 bites, and chinese makes my stomach upset, other then that I'm good to go!!!!!

14 weeks

Well tomorrow will be 14 weeks and last week I started to lose again...I didn't lose for over 2weeks! That sucks! ; )  But now I am on the losing side of life again, today I have lost 64lbs!!! YEAH!!! I feel great, I have to much energy, sometimes I don't know what to do with myself. Happy Holidays!!!!

Tuesday the 5th of Dec. will be 11 weeks and I feel great. I'm fitting into clothes that I haven't worn for a couple of years. I've lost a total of 58lbs.

Two months now and I feel great. I'm running out of clothes that fit me but who cares, it's worth it! I've lost a total of 48lbs!!!!! YEAH!!!! I have so much more energy during the day, and I've been sleeping like a baby.

4 weeks

It's been 4 weeks and I feel great, no problems. Minor pain with recovery. I have my next check up on Friday, 10-20-06.

My Story

 I'm a 39 yr old women, wife and mother. I have been over weight for most of my life. I've done all the diets. Nutri system, I lost 70 lbs in 7 months. Weight watchers, I lost 80 lbs in a year and a half, and of course all the fade diets too! I was tired of being tired. So I decided about a year and half ago to have the surgery. It's been the greatest thing for me. I have the worlds greatest husband and daughter. They've supported me through it all.
