Good luck on your
upcoming surgery.
Please let me know
if you need
anything. I'm not
that far away, and
would be happy to
help if you need
support.
I'm only a week out
of surgery and am so
happy!
Friday is your day!
Just remember you
are on the journey
of a lifetime. Try
to enjoy every
minute. It may sound
weird now, but know
that you are cared
for and prayed for
here, and all too
soon this will be
but a memory and you
will be an
inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench! ~

I've been pondering WLS, RNY in particular, for several years. I actually attempted to go through the process 4 years ago and was denied. I have been approved and am having surgery June 8, 2007 at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles.
Well, things have been hectic and I haven't even been on OH. I'm making a committment to get back on here more and take better care of myself in the new year. Back to basics and back on track. I have lost a total of 129 pounds since my surgery and feel like a whole new person!! I still have work that needs to be done and I am claiming 2008 as the year for me!!
As of today I have lost 14 pounds since my surgery. I'm feeling like crap because it seems SO SLOW! I thought it would be faster at first. I'm following all the rules and behaving myself but not moving on the scale. UGH! Well, I'm going to get on it and start seriously boosting my exercise. Anything to try to get the scale moving!
Well, up until yesterday I was what my doctor was calling "the exception". I didn't have any problems at all, no pain medication, was back to work lickety split and was doing great!
Yesterday morning I decided to make a change from the standard scrambled egg for breakfast and make myself a smoothie. I love smoothies. Well, this one didn't sit well with me at all. ALL DAY LONG I felt seasick. No dumping, diahrea or throwing up, but seasick!
I woke up today feeling much better today, it has passed. I went to the gym today for the firs time, but I stuck to the treadmill. 2.37 miles in about 45 minutes. It pooped me out, but I feel better today than I have in a while. I can't wait to start swimming. I have to check with my surgeon to verify when I can hit the water!
I feel like everything is brand new and I'm learning every single day! It's all good!
