OMG I am finally in ONEDERLAND 082008
on August 20, 2008 10:27 am
Well yesterday I weighed after not weighing for a week and I was down to 197.    I just about cried when I saw it.  I never thought I'd be under 200 ever again.  Then this morning I weighed again and I was down another 2 pounds which put me to 195.  Let me tell you I just about passed out.  SO maybe I'm off the 3wk stall that I was on.  Gosh I hope so.  I want to loose until I get to 130-140 pounds.  I really started exercising last night and I know to get to my goal weight I gotta exercise, exercise, exercise....

There were times there for awhile that I was sorry for having this surgery, but not anymore.  I am loving the new healthier me.......

on August 15, 2008 7:04 am
Well it has been almost a month - 7wks post op this past Tuesday. I have lost 39 pounds and wanting desperatly to loose more...  I have been at a stand still for about 2wks now and I think it's because I'm not getting my required fluids and protein down...  What is wrong with me?  Why can I not get them in?  I struggle and struggle and just can't get it all in.....  Also, I just started exercising this week so maybe it will start coming off again....

July 07, 2008- back in the hospital I go....
on August 15, 2008 6:37 am
Well on July 07 I went back to work.  At around 2:00pm I started feeling really bad.  I was nauseaus and had to go to bathroom but all that happened was dry heaves.....  My stomach was killing me too.  It hurt real bad..  I tried to last the day but just couldn't.  I went home and continued to be sick.  At around 9:30pm I called my Surgeon and he told me to get to the ER at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.  We got to the ER about 12:30am and waited and waited and waited.  It was awful.......  I was so sick I just wanted to die....  (not literally but just about)  I finally got back to see the ER doc at 4:30am.  As soon as I got back they appologized and said I should of been back a lot sooner.  And the kind of person that I am I said thats ok.  At that point I was just ready to do whatever needed to be done.  They started a IV and called Dr Dyer, my surgeon.  Not even 30 minutes later I was being admitted to the hospital.  I was in their for 5 days....  Longer this time around than when I actually had surgery.

I forgot to say I was doing HORRIBLE on my fluids and protein....

day of surgery June 24, 2008
on August 15, 2008 6:26 am
Ok let me tell you I was scared to death.  My legs were shaking so bad.  My husband finally said, "Misty stop!"  I still couldn't stop.  Everything was going through my brain.  Am I doing the right thing?  What if something happens to me in here?  GOD give me strength to get through this...

Then I went in and went to sleep.  LOL  They had originally told me that I would be in for about 4hrs but it turns out I was in for 6hrs.  My husband kinda got a little worried at this point.  Dr Dyer came out to talk to him and said I was ok and did good......  When I woke up all I remember was the pain.  Gosh it hurt I started crying, a little, to myself.  Then went to my room and things got a little better.

My husband stayed with me the rest of the day and then he went home to our 2 little ones.  Logan 7, and Kobyn 2 so I was by myself the rest of the time I was there.  I sorta was lonley but understood that we live a little over an hour away and it was too hard for them to come down.  Plus I was trying to recover and probably would have not been good company.  I got out of the hospital the following Friday..............

My Story

Lets see where do I start  .....  I have always been an overweight person.  I was a chubby kid then in high school I took matters into my own hand.  High school is a hard time for a fat kid  .  So I began to make myself throw up and pretty soon the weight came off.   I kept doing the bulima thing for about 10 yrs.   I honestly don't know what made me stop but I did and what happened I kept gaining my weight back.  I had a baby and gained a litte with him but not much.  After he was about a year old I began to take phentermin and lost alot of weight again .  Sure enough it came back on.  I got prego again in 2005 and had my last little one.  I gained a small amount with him as well but nothing significant.  In 2006 I started thinking about WLS and pondered, prayed, thought,  and struggled with the decision to have the surgery for the next 2yrs .   At the end of 2007 I decided to do something about my future existence.  I wanted to be allive to see my future grandchildren and great grandchildren.  So I took the plunge and began my weight loss surgery journey and here I am today 55 pounds lighter.  God bless my surgeon and all the hospital staff who are helping me live to be 125 years old!!!!!!!
