2 weeks 2 days Post OP

Well I figured I would go ahead and post an update since I am having alot of people ask how I am doing.  Overall I am just really tired. I don't seem to have a whole lot of energy but hey when you are eating about 300 calories a day how much energy can one person have?  Other than the energy thing I think I am doing really well.  I am not hungry at all but must eat 3 small meals a day which consist of mostly baby food or whatever I can puree into the blender (not much). I am really looking forward to September 17th when I can eat Normal foods again.

I wish I can say this has been easy so far but it hasn't. I often feel like crying and asking myself why did I do this? But then I get on the scale and I am down 25 lbs and I say to myself yes this will be worth it. I am on my way to a much healthier me. My Blood sugars have gone from 240-250 down to 90-110. I am no longer taking my diabetes medications. AMEN! However I do have to take Vitamins now, chewables none the less, and they are horrible.

Also September 17th I get to have this G-Tube (feeding tube) removed from my side. What a Pain in the Butt it has been. It's there for backup in case I dehydrate or need more fluids but I haven't used it in over a week. I am so ready for it to be gone. Nothing like a forgien object hanging out of your side that's for sure.

So overall I am doing really well. Just continue to pray for me in the areas of food addiction. I literally cried the other night when my family had hamburgers and I knew I couldn't eat one. :/  Oh well time and discipline are my friends. I will keep on keeping on.....

Until next time,

Christy
