I can't believe this is really happening!!

So I finally got my call on Friday 1/25/2013 informing me that I was APPROVED!!! I can't believe its happening, I thought insurance would deny me because I have very few weight loss attempts but i've always been overweight and thank God they approved me and it is 100% covered. My date is set for Feb 5th! ah!!! that is literally a full week away, and I will be the new me!

So I met my surgeon yesterday and he was amazing. We went over my past and my struggle with weight loss, he told me my bmi is currently at 40.7 and that he thinks i'm a good candidate for weight loss surgery! So he gave me a list of things I need to complete to send off to my insurance company such as: pysch eval, nutrition consultation, upper endoscopy, and blood work, I've already made appointments for 2 out of 3 of those requirements so i'm hoping to get them all done within a week. Oh & luckily I don't have to do weight management  I was really stressing out about that one, well I guess that will be all for now just wanted to update my page since i'm kinda bad at that. lol

My Story

Hello, my name is Celia. I am 24 years old and have struggled with my weight since jr. high.
I am 5'10 and currently weighing in at 287. My all time highest weight was 297. I played sports in high school but I wasn't able to get my weight lower than 230. I am ready for that drastic change. I want to be a healthy mom for my child and I want a great and long marriage with my husband. Anyway I guess thats all i'll put for now until I can think of more to write. (:
