Wednesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

Hi Brandy! I am 1 week & 1 day post-op with lapband & wanted to write and encourage you...the recovery is not bad. :-) It is exciting to be able to "draw a line in the sand" and start fresh this way. Good luck on your journey soon to be your "fresh start" -- I hope it goes well!! Take care, Stephanie (SallyRhodes)

on November 7, 2007 1:54 pm
I am offically 1 WEEK out. YAY!!!!
I feel pretty good. I got the staples removed. It REALLY does NOT hurt. After there out you get a burning sensation that last 5 seconds. VERY painless. The took blood pressure and temperature which were all normal. Then comes the **WEIGH-IN**

I have LOST 26 lbs WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO

I am so excited.

Since I lost SO much the NP asked me if I have been feeling weak or really tired?
She was really inpressed with the weight loss. She said patient usually lose 5-10lbs in that week.

I get to start mushies TOMORROW... I am so glad too. This whole week I stayed full on the liquids. But happy for some food.

SURGERY EXPERIENCE
on November 7, 2007 8:00 am
I was expecting alot more PAIN and hard times (ie.. peeing, walking, drinking, standing, burping, passing gas). I went in on HALLOWEEN, surgery at 10am. The surgoen was behind so they got to me around 11am. I was awake and talking at 1pm. Everything went smoothly. I was in the recovery room less that 45mins. Went to my room. I was really tired though. No pain but felt ALOT of soreness (like I had been hit by a truck). I was able to pee immediately after surgery. My trips to the potty were VERY frequent. I was also passing gas fairly easy too. The nurse said that was great. I was able to tolerate the liquids and did well with them. I only got the pain medicine to sleep. I am a stomach sleeper so having to sleep on my back sucked, but the meds helped with that. I got released the next day. I got to shower too. That felt good.
