Wednesday is your
day! Just remember
you are on the
journey of a
lifetime. Try to
enjoy every minute.
It may sound weird
now, but know that
you are cared for
and prayed for here,
and all too soon
this will be but a
memory and you will
be an inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench!
Hi Brandy! I am 1
week & 1 day post-op
with lapband &
wanted to write and
encourage you...the
recovery is not bad.
:-) It is exciting
to be able to "draw
a line in the sand"
and start fresh this
way.
Good luck on your
journey soon to be
your "fresh start"
-- I hope it goes
well!!
Take care,
Stephanie

SURGERY EXPERIENCE I was expecting alot more PAIN and hard times (ie.. peeing, walking, drinking, standing, burping, passing gas). I went in on HALLOWEEN, surgery at 10am. The surgoen was behind so they got to me around 11am. I was awake and talking at 1pm. Everything went smoothly. I was in the recovery room less that 45mins. Went to my room. I was really tired though. No pain but felt ALOT of soreness (like I had been hit by a truck). I was able to pee immediately after surgery. My trips to the potty were VERY frequent. I was also passing gas fairly easy too. The nurse said that was great. I was able to tolerate the liquids and did well with them. I only got the pain medicine to sleep. I am a stomach sleeper so having to sleep on my back sucked, but the meds helped with that. I got released the next day. I got to shower too. That felt good.

Sounds like you are going to have a great recovery too. I love Dr. De La Torre. Take things slow and trust me, you will keep feeling great!
