Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I was also very outgoing and flamboyant to make up for my lack in self esteem, I was always the joker and always made fun of myself before others got the chance too. I was bullied very badly throughout my childhood and became a very angry person. I felt no one understood me or heard my plea's for help.

My Story

I was diagnosed Obese at the age of 8 after being on steroid treatment for my severe Asthma. The weight I never lost. At 14 I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and at 15 with Poly Cystic Ovarian Cysts (PCOS)

At the age of 34 I was hospitalized with an A1C of 18.2 and was the sickest I had ever been. I met the love of my life at age 35 who loved me being 270lbs and a size 24-26. In 2011 I made a promise to myself after 20+ of dieting that I was going to change my life and get better from Daibetes and lose all of my excess weight.

April 2011 I made the brave decision to have Weight Loss Surgery. I looked at Lapband, RNY and VSG, I researched all three surgeries and for me the VSG was the surgery of my choice. I also started to change my eating and exercise regime and start my journey leading up to having surgery.

November 2011 I recieved the call I had been waiting for my surgery date. December 19th 2011. My husband is in the Military and was deploying the week before my surgery.

December 19th came and I had my surgery, I was so excited and not even scared. The surgery went well I had no complications and my recovery was over within 2 weeks. My surgery weight was 225lbs. My goal weight is 150-160lbs.

I love my Sleeve and my life is very amazing since the day I had surgery. I have no regrets!
