Well as I was waiting for that 12 month “lock down” to pass by I decided to go monthly to get b12 injections and appetite suppressants I also completed my 6 month diet as soon as March of 2008 came around I went to the seminar @ Innova and met for the 1^st time the man that would be changing my life “FOREVER” Dr. Lloyd Stegemann. He is a very hmmmmm what’s the word ahhh “STRAIGHT FORWARD” person doesn’t sugar coat anything and was a bit intimidating. Over all I felt comfortable with him because he has the patients health at mind that’s what comes first, it’s not about the $$$$$$.

After our 1^st meeting he said he wanted me to see a Cardiologist because I have a small heart murmur and also a sleep study. So I did both I have a great heart and severe sleep apnea. After all my other required appts he told me to loose 10 lbs before surgery. I ended up loosing 26 then slowly gaining that back. Well after everything was ready to be sent to the insurance company it was mid of June.

This past Sunday I decided to check my mail which I never do and there it was in bold letters not covered I cried so much then as I turned the paper is just they needed a 2^nd recommendation from another doctor besides my surgeon recommending bariatric surgery. So This past Monday I spoke to my case manger she insured me that is wasn’t a denial letter they were just needing additional information. So then the next morning July 15, 2008 she calls me saying,” Veronica I got your approval sweetie” My heart just raced and I jumped up with such joy tears and all…. J

Tomorrow I have my pre-op appt and then I will know for sure when my surgery day is. Mean while I have H pylori and I need to have a 14 day treatment I’m also anemic I’m taking some vitamins for that. I’ll keep ya’ll posted ……. XOXO-MISS.V
