The first time I met Dr. Christou, he was very soft spoken and very knowledgeable about the procedure, RNY Gastric Bypass, and also I was infored by Dr. Christou that i was able to have the surgery Lapriscopically done, which is great. I hope that when it get closer to the srugery date I will have more info. But now I just want to be healthy. I had my surgery on July 19th and it was a full success, I am losing my weight slowly but I am losing, The staff during my surgery were really nice and they calmed me down, I was a basket sace before surgery, But now I am out 1 month and I feel much better, thanks to Dr. Christou and his wonderful OR Staff. I am learning new things about my self and eating a new way. ITs been a winding ride since but it has been a good way better than being 290lbs - now I am 260lbs and my BMI is 60.4, that is the best thing every.... THANK YOU DR CHRISTOU... for giving me my NEW LIFE....

    Its Melissa again, well I have BIG NEWS as of November13th, 2006 I reached my first BIG GOAL I lost 50lbs... SO now from pre surgery I weighed 286, now I weigh 236, It is so exciting for me.... I also went down in my clothes sizes from 5x to a 3x or 2s depends...... Its such a GREAT feeling.... Back for more updates LATER

    Hi Everyone.... Its Melissa, just to let all know I'm now down 38lbs from 286lbs to 248lbs, and I feel wonderfull. I have not been doing much excersice but I have been doing good with my foods and I can tolerate most foods but still have trouble with some. Its only 2 1/2 months so I'm still pleased..... Just a quick UPDATE.....

    Well IM HOME NOW. Its mIssy. I finally was able to get to my computer and check my emails, Thank you ALL for your Kind Wishes and YES now its time for me, I am doing very well, walked and walked and sipped and sipped. Im feeling GREAT, but its only been 4 days since surgery and I still have to be extra carefull, but i knew that I wanted to ans wer my emails to THANK EVERYONE.......IM A LOSER NOW.... Missy

Went down again!!

Hi again
Today November 18th 2007, for the last 3 days I went down more so now i was 187-185-182.0
Now My lowest is 182.0 as of yesterday morning
Yay!!!
Still I have a long way to go....But its all good.....
