My first stall
on March 29, 2012 9:17 am
Almost 6 months post op and I hit my first stall! Every week since surgery I've managed to lose at least 1 lb but not last week! But I'm totally OK with that! Don't get me wrong, I hope it doesn't last very long, but I'm ok with it. My body is still shrinking (my jeans are falling off me and I own a freakin size 12 jeans!! :D ) and I will take measurements again this morning so if I'm stuck for a bit I can keep measuring and feel better.  I fit into a size 10 dress yesterday!! and it fit well!! but I don't like my legs so I didn't buy it, but still fun to know I can fit into such small sizes! From a 22 to a comfortable 12 jeans is amazing to me! I'm not gonna lie and say I'd be OK if I never lost  another pound, cuz I won't be....but....I feel damn good anyway! I want to lose at least 37 more lbs and up to 47 more.  I'm going full speed ahead on the workouts to start getting toned.

went to buy new jeans today since i can put mine on without unbuttoning them! lol. and holy crap....I fit into levi's size freakin TWELVE!!! 12!! OMG....a freakin 12! some jeans I can fit into a 13, some a 14...but I did feel comfy as heck in the levis size 12!! Of course I had to buy them!! and another brand size 14....how fun clothes shopping is!! Oh, and a SUPER cute pair of wedges that I would've NEVER attempted to wear 80 something pounds ago!! :D

Only 2 lbs away from no longer being obese!
on March 20, 2012 8:31 pm
I cant believe I'm only 2 lbs away from being out of the "obese" range and into the "overweight" range, according to the bmi calculator! Not that I put a LOT of 'trust" or whatever in the calculator (I actually think its horse shit) but its still cool to be close to being "medically" or whatever, out of the obese range! besides, according to my height, normal is anything under 150 lbs (which is only 32 lbs away from where I am)!! How awesome! I haven't been 32 lbs overweight in a LONG time!!

So of course my goal is to be considered just "overweight" and not obese. after that, my next goal is to be under 175 because I haven't been under that since I was 20! (i'm 38), which was before I was pregnant with my 16 yr old. So since my last 2 kids, I have not been under 175 and I look forward to being under that goal! After that, the next goal will be my goal weight of 140....then I'll have to see what my body looks and feels like. I am aware that I may not get to that 140 goal before having any kind of plastics...but I'm really hoping to get toned enough to not want to go under the knife too many more times!!

I hope you're all enjoying your journey as much as I am!! :D

I'm mad at myself!!
on March 15, 2012 5:46 pm
I was doing so well before my little mini vacation!! I started losing quicker again and then I fell off the wagon and ate like crap for 3 days (and drank beer)...and now??? uggg, scale is not moving...but stomach is SUPER bloated so hoping once I release whatever is in it, I release the weight that it holds as well.

BUT, the plus side of things, since I've been home I'm being good again and I feel a LOT better! So good to know how quickly I can get back on track and how much I DON"T want to fall off the wagon again.  Drinking beer is not as satisfying as it used to be...and eating like crap just makes me feel crappy.  I'm sure I will drink a beer on occasion but drinking more than 1 beer, for more than 1 day in a row is not satisfying and just not worth it! I want to lose about 50 more pounds and want to lose it before my wedding in September! So its time to kick it in gear, already!! treadmill daily, workout video at least 3 times a week and start walking to work now that it stays light longer :D

5 months post op
on March 12, 2012 11:29 pm
2 days ago was my 5 month surgerversary....I've lost 69lbs in 5 months and 86 since my journey began in July!! I feel great! I can pretty much eat anything but chicken sometimes gets stuck so I prefer other forms of meat over chicken. I'm really good about getting in lots of protein each day by having one scoop with coffee each morning (26g per scoop) and a protein shake around lunch time at work.  That second bit of protein has really helped me get through my day with plenty of energy! I'm also really good at getting in my 64+ oz of water each day by making sure I drink 2, 20 oz water bottles before lunch and 2 after lunch, then I drink at home but not as much as I do at work....I must admit that on my days off I'm not as good at getting the water in as I am at work.  I take all my vitamins, everyday :D I LOVE my RNY!

I'd like to lose between 44 and 50 more lbs...and I'd REALLY like to lose that in the next 6 months (I'm getting married in September) but if it takes longer I'll be ok with that.  I'm losing about 10lbs a month right now so I really hope that continues for the next few months!!

i hope you are all enjoying your journey!!
