First PostOp Visit 2 weeks out
on September 5, 2007 3:56 pm
Hello everyone. Just wanted to drop a line about my first visit. My hospital stay was a little longer so my visit is at 2 weeks. I am so excited and so please with my visit. First I give the glory to God. He is indeed the head of my life. I am down 20 lbs since my surgery which was August 23, 2007. I am a newbie in training so I still need to learn how to put the tracker on here. I lost 20 lbs on my pre op diet and 20 post op 2 weeks. God is good. To all of you..Stay Blessed!

Blessed and back home. Thanks be to God!
on August 29, 2007 3:18 pm
Hello to all of my OH family. I had a 6 day stay and I am feeling fine. I lost a total of 20lbs on my pre op diet. My surgery went well but my oxygen level was bit low which caused me to have an extended stay. My clothing had a slack in them when I went home. Felt good. God Is good. I have only been able to take a few sips of protein a day and maybe 4 spoons of chicken broth and I feel so full. Again I say thank God. I had a wonderful experience and had lot of friends and family praying for me. I was a bit drowsy the first few days but I remember a few people coming to see me. My room was filled with balloons and flowers and cards. I am loved. The day I went they kept pushing my time back and back so the nurse informed me that in all the time she has worked there she never see so many people waiting on one patient. Again I say...I am loved. Thanks for all your kind words and support. I will keep you all posted and keep the pictures updated. I am now on the losers bench. Thanks OH!

Red Lobster

I had a wonderful day today. I found out that my co workers really care for me and today they really showed it. I asked my surgeon if I could have one more big meal before the surgery. He said that I could go out to eat a week before.
Today was that day. 20 co workers and family members and I went and we had a ball. I was a little sick in the end though. Ate too much. After being on that pre op diet for 3 1/2 weeks, I almost regret eating all that food. I know that I am loved. Well 6 more days til im on the losers bench. To all of you that has had it and having it. Stay blessed!

on August 13, 2007 1:38 pm

If anyone here needs a filter I just want to let you know there is no need to worry. It was a breeze. I am only experiencing a little discomfort. Keep me in your prayers as I will do you all also. Stay Blessed!

My Story

Hello everyone. I am a 34 year old mother of 2. I am scheduled to have Gastric Bypass on August 23, 2007. My decision to go through surgery is based on living a healthier life for myself and to be around to take care of my children. I have been going through this process since December 2006. My insurance company was a reason for the delay. They require 8 weeks of a program called Healthy Roads which lasted almost three months. It was very educational and it help with my eating habits before the surgery.
