My Story

After being overweight all my life, I finally had RNY surgery with Dr. Benn at Fairview Southdale Hospital in June 2005.  I lost 100 pounds since then.  My weight loss has stopped, though I could benefit from losing more.  However, I am so happy that I had surgery and lost weight!  I am off the extra meds I was taking and I can do so much more now!  I had researched surgery for at least two years.  Part of that was in support of a family member who had surgery before me.  I thank my family and friends for supporting me throughout this process, as they have my whole life.  I hope you have a successful journey too!
