I FEEL GOOD !!!!
on June 23, 2012 1:10 pm
I am 5 days post-op and I FEEL GOOD!!!  This whole experience is new to me, and as I can see it's going to be a challenge..I'm starting to notice now more than before food plays a big role in my life...N it's even more important now because I got to always be concious of the food that I eat and make sure that I make the right decisions...I'm taking this day by day and I also know that bariatricfoodie.com is gonna be a big inspiration to my weight loss journey....

Last Tuesday 6/5 I went to my Information Pre-Surgery Class and got all of my surgery prep bloodwork drawn....On 6/6 I went to my Pre-Op exam with my doctor and I weighed in at 311 lbs.....That was also the day that I started my pre-op liver shrinking diet....I have been doing really well with my diet as of today...In the beginning I had a really hard time while I was withdrawing from FOOD... The greatest news of all is that I HAVE LOST 10 LBS SINCE I STARTED MY LIVER SHRINKING DIET 6 DAYS AGO....WHOO HOOO....WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT....IM ON MY WAY.....

THE BEGINNING
on June 2, 2011 7:01 pm
Hello Everyone...I am in the beginning stages of this whole thing. I went to my initial visit a couple of weeks ago and my doctor told me that my insurance company is requiring me to complete six months of weight management with a bariatric nutritionist. I really wasn't upset about the whole thing because this will help me to be successful after surgery. I am so much looking forward to this new lifestyle, but I am also nervous about the pre-op and post-op surgery. There are times when I see certain people that had a bad experience with thier surgeries I want to chicken out and try something else, When I read some of the sucess stories of other RNY patients I then say to myself that I too can be successful.nSometimes I feel like I am not going to be successful but there are other times when I know I can do it. At this point I AM GOING TO DO IT.
