I just couldn't sit at home any longer...so I decided I was going to go to work this morning!  I'm a little sore from moving around and a little tired, but I think I'm doing pretty good so far. 

I'm so used to being quick about my work and getting things done quickly that I forget I just had major surgery and need to slow down, but my body is sure reminding me. 

Finally back on the losing side after the 11 pound gain from surgery. 

I think it's all starting to hit me that this is really happening.  I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.  I have all my things ready to go and I'm just counting down the days now. 

Yep yep...you read that right...I was finally approved for Gastric Bypass surgery! I'm so freakin excited. Tell me who in the world gets excited over major surgery? Me that's who...I'm so excited!!! All I'm waiting for now is my doctor's office to call me with the surgery date! I cannot believe how much stress just left my body as soon as I heard the lady from HealthNet tell me that it was approved! AMAZING! HealthNet has been fantastic through this entire thing and so has Dr. Pehrsson! Can't wait for the next step!

My paperwork was submitted to my insurance company on May 29th.  Accordingly to HealthNet it takes 5 business days for the surgeon's office to get a response.  So I'm hoping either Monday or Tuesday I will have an answer.  I'm nervous that they won't approve me, but I have been praying and hoping they will.  Having to wait over the weekend is adding to my anxiety level.  I called on Wednesday to make sure they had my paperwork and that it was being processed...then I called on Friday, hoping against hope that they would have made a decision and of course it's still pending.  Of course they will take the full 5 days to make a decision...I just really hope it's the right decision!

I completed my Psych Evaluation yesterday, they said it would take about a week for the Surgeon's office to get it and then they will submit to insurance.  I still have some of the other tests like the EKG today and the Endocopy on Friday, so come Friday I will be done with all the tests they require of me Pre-Op. 

Crossing my fingers, toes, eyes, legs and anything else I can cross that my insurance will be quick and approve the surgery.
