Well, I got a call from the doctors office telling me that my insurance company had approved me for lapband surgery BUT, I have a pre-existing something rather!!! So, I call the insurance company and (this is funny) BCBS of Az needs to have proof of prior coverage....DUH...so I had to call BCBS of NM and get a certificate of prior coverage...to fax to BCBS of Az!!! Tell me how that makes sense! Anyway, my surgery date has been moved to the 28th of August, I guess I cannot complain, I am very fortunate that my insurance is going to cover the surgery and I don't have to jump through hoops like a lot of other people that I have seen. None the less it is still a bit upsetting. On the brighter side of things, I do have more time to prepare myself.
