Unfortunately Dr. Spivak has went back to Israel in his further studies as a bariatric surgeon. I just want to say he is an amazing doctor. Immediately post surgery, he came to visit over 8 times. My surgery went perfectly and I can say...this man changed my life. I came in wanting to do lap band and he completely changed my mind on switching to VSG. I am so glad to have found him. I went through 3 doctors and when I met him, I JUST KNEW. I will miss seeing him at the office.

Whether I was happy or sad. Food was the escape. Emotionally, I accepted that I was obese but I wasn't happy. Apart of me knew that my weight was the source to most of my problems.

My Story

HW: 340 SW: 316 GW: 175-165 

I struggled most of my life being overweight and gradually becoming morbidly obese; I had enough. After years of researching, I finally took the huge stepping stone to save myself. I can honestly say, I was petrified but DAMN WAS THIS SHIT WORTH IT! 

 

My name is Mimi and I am proudly stating that I am a post VSG patient. On September 15, 2010, I went through probably the most frightening yet invigorating experience of my life; having bariatric weight lost surgery. My life has changed tremendously and I can't thank my family and friends enough for their love and support. 

 

Here's to the rest of my life!!!! ^_^
