is there anyone out there with diabetes that has had WLS?  I am considering the sleeve because of the diabetes and can not find   anyone that has had the surgery with diabetes.  I hope someone comes forward,

My Story

I have been overweight since childhood.  Don't ever remember ever being under 140 lbs ever.   Have done every diet under the sun only to fail over and over again.  I am 65 now and it has all caught up with me.  I have all the overweight issues.  HBP, high cholesterol, a lot of pain, and the worst diabetes.  Didn't think much about the diabetes till I went on insulin 2 years ago.  Now it is a big big deal.  I hate it.   I have been researching all of the wls and the sleeve seems to make the most sense to me. 

I finally scheduled an appointment with a surgeon.  It is coming up next week.  I am so scared that I will not be able to do this and I want it so bad.  I want to be off of insulin and alot of the other meds.

I want to know if anyone out there has had the sleeve that was on insulin and how did it come out?

This is the beginning of my journey and I hope it has a great outcome.
