Day 2 of the 3 week liquid (milk) diet
on June 6, 2012 7:21 pm

So my surgeon has this Milk diet that she puts all of her patien's on before surgery. To give you an idea of what it consists of: Skim milk and water...yep thats it, oh I can have crystal light or propel. 3 weeks of this everyday until surgery.
I am just wrapping up day 2 and I am about to gnaw my own arm off!! LOL. No but really this is horrible. I hate the flavor of milk, but surgeon says there is no substitution. BLAHH.
I know I am definitly ranting, but this sucks with a capital S!
I have heard everyone say it gets easier after day 3 or 4 so I am hoping for that. I have been eating a few sugar free popsicles, and some sugar free jello (it has no more calories or ingredients than a propel..,but I have been feeling pretty light headed.
On a good note, I lost 2 pounds all ready which I am sure is just water weight....and I continue on...hoping the next 19 days go by really fast!

My Story

Ahhhh. my story....where to begin.
I am on the weight loss surgery band wagon!
Well, I have been overweight most of my life, It never much bothered me until I was a 24 year old with 2 children filing for divorce from an abusive husband and 100 pounds heavier than I was just 3 years prior. 292 pounds I was carrying around with me. I had given up on most everything except for my children and I was LEAST worried about myself.
I am definately no stranger to dieting. I can remember doing slim fast in the fourth grade.. I have been watching the scale go up and down for a long time. I just never made myself priority, there was always something more important.
Not anymore...above all I am a mom of 3 beautiful boys, Austin 12, Marcus 10 and Roman 7. My husband Armando is amazing. He is supporting me every step of the way on this journey. At first he was not very excited about it WLS for me, but as he became more informed, went to classes with me and helped me research he is now my biggest supporter in this process.
I have been dealing with a ton of people who think this is the "easy way"  and don't support me, so when I found this site I was super stoked! So many people going through the same things.
I sometimes read the blogs and forums and feel like the words written are actually being stolen from my mind! LOL
Its great to know there are people feeling the same way I do!
So, I am on my way!! Process started, and goals are being made!
