Almost 6 Weeks and Can't Get Wait to Get Back to Work! :)

Well today is just one week from my 6 week check-up. I have not been hitting the scale because of all things... I like to be surprised! LOL I just came back from 7 glorious days at the beach. I needed to sink my piggies (my TINY piggies!!) in the sand and just let all of my worries drift away. It was perfect. I am officially eating "regular" food and am doing a pretty good job at getting meals together. I am having some problems with gagging... but not vomiting. I think the main problem is some post nasal issues and am now taking something for that so hopefully the issues resolve. Will update everyone after my 6 week.

My surgery did not go as smoothly as one would hope. My first surgery was July 21, but on the 22nd, my surgeon felt something was not right and on the 23rd, I had a second, "scope." I had a leak, and an abscess had formed. Luckily, Dr. Boe was as on top of things as he was or it could have been much worse. Because of the second surgery, I had a G-tube placed which required me staying with my sister so she could clean it every night.
There are no words, expressions, or actions that can thank her enough. My family, friends and even co-workers are such a blessing in my life. I could not have gotten through this without their love and devotion.
My 2-week f/u appointment was this past Thursday and I did GREAT!!! My g-tube was removed, I graduated to pureed (a week early!) and I lost 23 pounds (in addition to the 40 pounds of water weight I put on in the hospital). I feel great and for the most part upbeat.
