Scot Currie, M.D. My very first impression of Dr. Currie was that he had a beautiful smile and georgous eyes. And he was very friendly. His office staff was always friendly to me and they seemed to be on top of things. Dr. Currie strongly recommends the monthly support group meetings and following through with your office visits as scheduled. I felt that Dr. Currie explained the surgery and the risks in great detail and he was patient with all my questions and fears. I would highly recommend Dr. Currie as a surgeon and I feel that both his surgical competence and bed side manner are great qualities of his.
Six Month's Out It is hard to believe that it has been six months since my life changed for the better...were to start...first and most importantly I AM HEALTHY...YEAH...no cholestrol problem, no more diabetes, (my A1C is actually below 6) and my over all health is great...WLS has changed not only my eating habits, but I find that I am a lot more out going and confident with myself that I have ever been...I still have to "check" myself everyday because it is still a struggle not to FALL INTO OLD HABITS....but I continue to strive toward NEW habits...I am down a total of 75 pounds and I am extremely happy....I have not really lost anything over the last month, so I know I have to up my exercise and make sure that I am eating enough and not eating to much "not so good for me food".....my check up with Dr. Weiger was great...he is still very pleased with my progress and he told me that it is all up to me at this point...that scared me a little when he told me that....he said, that my "honeymoon stage is over".....my goal is to lose 35 more pounds, so I will keep positive and keep going day to day...My life is AWESOME....thank you Dr. Currie...the tool that you gave me has helped me release a lot of "baggage" and I have a new self worth and excitement for the future...blessings to you all......
