Surgeon Testimonial

Wm Todd Overcash, M.D.
I first met w/ Dr Overcash Jan 06. I like him, he was right to the point, answered all my questions..no matter how stupid they may have sounded & I found very personable.rn While waiting for Patrice (the insurance lady) He came out & was joking around with us in the waiting room. He's a nice guy.rnrn Patrice was great too, she is as sweet as can be & really works for you, trying to deal with insurance.rnrn I haven't had surgery yet, but I'm sure I will have more nice things to say when it happens in a few weeks.rnrn**** Well I'm post op now, everything went well, no problems. Overcash did a great job. He is a man of very few words. I didn't see him before surgery. I saw him a minute the day after with his little daughter. I was totally drugged, but he wasnt in my room for more than a minute. A week after surgery I went to his new office to get my staples out, he weighed me & asked how I was doing & then his asst. came in, took my staples out & I was done. Took less than 5 minutes total. I was told to come back in a month. So it was short & sweet, just how I like it :0). I totally reccommend Dr. Overcash.

My 4 year Anniversary
on November 23, 2010 5:25 am
Hello All...  I just got my Happy Anniversary email from Eric & was shocked, I thought I would never forget this day..but again it slipped my mind.
I am enjoying a busy active life. My marriage is getting a little better. I am struggling with weight gain, about 20 pounds. I have been very depressed over, but I am over it & going to quit feeling sorry for myself & do something about it, before it gets out of hand...again.
So I just wanted to say a quick Hello to All of us November 2006'ers.  Hope you are are happy & well.
I  also wanted to say something I just learned... I takes effort & a mind change to "make" yourself happy... I never looked at it this way before, but it has helped me.

Hello, Things are going well. I got a full time job at nights. I am in training for 6 weeks Mon-Fri 4pm to midnight. It's very hard, but I am very happy. I do miss my kiddies, I only see them a few minutes a day during the week, but the money is good & we need it right now. Things seem to be going better w/ hubby. We only see each other a few minutes a day during the week..so that is helping. So I can say things are pretty good & life seems normal right now :0)

It's been a rough week. I just want to comfirm if anyone has any dumb ideas that this surgery will help your marriage.. Think again. My husband is worse to me AFTER the surgery than he was before... I didn't think it was possible.
He has gained a lot of weight & is just emotionally an abusive A$$. I guess he has been for awhile.. I have just changed so much over the past year I don't want to put up w/ it anymore. It's just soooooo hard to walk away after 18 years of marriage & 3 children.

Ok, enough of my pissing & moaning..I just needed to vent.

It's been a year and about 8 months sunce surgery. My stomach is still weird at times. Some days I want to eat everything & then others I want nothing. I still get full quickly. I am still hanging in between weighing 135 & 139. I do have skin issues & lack of boob issues that I would love to get fixed, but not sure when, with 3 kids there not much $ left after bills get paid.
My kids went back to school on Monday & then tropical storm Fay kept them home for the 2nd & 3rd days of school. Hopefully tomorrow they will be back in school....God I'm sooooo sick of the fighting between them.
I'm going to be looking for a full time job working days. I'm tired of working retail & working nights & weekends.
I guess thats about it for now. Thanks for reading.

My Story

I am a mom of 3. I work at home selling on eBay for now. I had my gastric bypass Nov. 22nd, 2006.

I had to fight Aetna for approval. I was denied 3 times & was approved  after my external review, which was my last hope of having this surgery.

This surgery was the best thing I have ever done!!
